SSBN to go Off air...

Sapno Se and Hamari Devrani to go off air; Sasural and Navya in the afternoon slot?

It seems that Star Plus is all set to make major changes in its programming schedule. Tellychakkar.com has been receiving leads from credible sources that Shakuntalam Telefilms' Sapno Se Bhare Naina and Shobana Desai Productions' Hamari Devrani are all set to face the axe. Both the shows will go off air on 3 February 2012.

"The channel was not happy with the numbers so decided to take the shows off the airwaves. To fill the vacuum, Sasural Genda Phool (Ravi Ojha Productions) and Navya (Swastik Pictures) have been shifted to the afternoon slot. Many production houses are pitching good concepts and the channel is slowly taking out its older shows to pave way for the new ones. After DJ's Maryada, now it's turn of Sapno and Hamari," says a source.

We called up Shyamasis Bhattacharya of Shakuntalam Telefilms (makers of Sapno Se Bhare Naina) and Shobhana Desai of Shobhana Desai Productions (makers of Hamari Devrani) but they both remained unavailable. Siddharth Tiwary of Swastik Pictures also remained out of reach.

However, Parvati Vaze, who plays Naina in Sapno Se…, said that she is not sure about the show going off air but has heard about the development. "But nothing has been conveyed officially," she added.

Jay Soni, who plays Ishaan in Sasural Genda Phool, sounded shocked to hear the news. "I have no idea about it. I can't really comment anything." But Ragini Khanna aka Suhana rubbished the news stating that rival production houses are targeting the show. "Sasural is here to stay for a long time," she added.

Snigdha Pandey aka Rama of Navya went on to say, "People have been asking if my show is being shifted to the afternoon slot, but I think these are mere rumours."

We also called up Nitin Vaidya, Business Head, Hindi Channels, STAR India and he said, "we don't discuss such things in public."

this is too bad ..how can they end the show..it was doing good but yeah these days bez of the current track the TRP has gone down so low ..but it can be btter when the track end..i blam both..CVs and the starplus..CVs bez of not stopping the current track . they shud have knw that if TRP is getting low that means the show is not doing well and starplus is will do anythin to maintain whatever they want to be in no1 position if they find out the show is nit dung well then they wont keep long.. and i blam starplus bez of SSBN deserve to be prime time but they have given afternoon...i feel so sad for daksh and naina and nt able to see them..

This are pure rumour's SSBN nt going to end n i cn say it confidently after reading d 2nd half of the article which states SGP n navya will b shifted to fternoon slot
SGP is in top 10 shows on Tv and SP never going to take such a stupid step so just chill guys

i dont whether it is true or nt after reading the news seems like it is true

Am very very disappointed by the development.How can that star plus Business head say such matters won't be discussed in public.We the public do have a right to know what is happening.Only with the public's support starplus is basking in glory and maintaining its success.
Already navya is telecast at 3 p.m. they can continue that and bring in SGP in place of hamari devrani if needed. Why shud they take SSBN off air.Both SP nd the cv's of SSBN have disappointed us.What are we supposed to do now.Simply sit and gulp whatever they are showing.What do they mean by new concepts. A show cud either be a love story or the usual saas bahu drama.And as per the trend only those shows which makes u cry your heart out will sit in the top slot..Any new show they are going to bring in will only be old wine in a new bottle.Only a handful of people like us despise such shows.So why are they disappointing us and depriving us of our happiness.
I wish the producers of SSBN talk to SP people and seek some extension time within which they can mend the show and bring it back to its old form and charm.If not then i can only wish that we will be able to see our dakshna aka gaurav and paro in some other show as a couple and continue to charm us .And also wishing both and all the cast and crew of SSBN "ALL THE BEST"

guyss is it true..im fan of daksh and naina ..i dont want it to end ..may bez of the low TRP..it was so good show before and i watch bex of naina and daksh

Low trp is no sensible reasoning... As compared to the other afternoon shows this show had a much better and highest trp ...
