"Kabira yeh ghar prem ka, Khaala ka ghar naahin !
Seesh uttarey haath karee, Sau pasey ghar mahin!!"

"i.e., Love is not for the faint hearted; prepare to be beheaded!
It is a quiet dusk as Bundelkhandi cattle loitering around Bhopali trashcans jingle their way home. A balmy breeze gently touches the Brija ex-love nest at plot 63, Idgah colony. Despite the tranquil air, SKBM viewers wait with bated breath, many in trepidation yet feverish anticipation, of a highpoint in the Brija journey. Today, Prince Lamba Achamba will claim the Pachmarhi Princess, our little guileless nightingale, as his bride. And with that he will lead his little lamb (and many of our hearts) to the slaughter'..
BBP and Puja leave the ex-love nest just as Arti's autorickshaw rolls in. Arti sees them leave when she gets out of the auto. She calls to her sister, but of course to no avail. She gives BBP's vehicle chase on foot, slips and hurts her ankle. BBPs vehicle leaves. Inside the ex-lovenest, Sumitra fusses over Arti's sprained ankle. Arti is all jumpy and she gets even more distressed when she finds out that Puja will be gone (ostensibly to meet a composer) all night, because it is far away. Harivansh comes back from work and joins Sumitra in chiding his daughter about being negligent and running around all the time. He praises his daughters and tells a tearful Arti to relax and Sumitra work for a bit. Harivansh thinks that Arti is tearing up because of the sprain. All through this display of parental love and family normalcy, Arti cannot stop worrying about her sister. Her parents concern and affectionate patter only emphasizes the trust and pride they have in their daughters. When her parents leave the room, Arti tries BBP's number this time ' but of course, it is switched off.
In his chauffeur driven car, BBP hands Puja his cellphone, switching it off. He tells her tonight he will be hers for the entire night and he has a surprise planned for her. When she asks he tells her to be patient. He then reaches out to pull her into an embrace. But Puja gets all shy - the chauffeur does have a rear view mirror and of course she is conscious. When he teases her about her shyness, she indicates the chauffeur, who gets the hint and turns the rear view away. Brija cuddle, though the chauffeur still can overhear them them coochie cooing.
Brija, get out near a temple. When Puja asks about why they are at the temple and what is the surprise, BBP takes out a red box with a ring. He proposes to a radiant Puja and then rephrases his proposal. Looking at Puja intensely in the eye, BBP asks her if she would be willing to marry him here, now and at this very moment. There is a loud collective "no" from the Brija audience around the globe as our sweet little nightingale looks distressed. She voices her concern that she wants her parents and sister should be there at the very least. BBP, however blackmails her emotionally, asking her if she trusted him. When she says, yes of course she trusts him, more even than her own self, he finally voices what we all suspected he would someday. He tells Puja he always felt that she loved him more than anyone else, even her family, but he understands her reluctance. He will never repeat his desire to be married to her ever again. And with this, BBP tests on the touchstone of his two timing selfishness, those things that he never should have - Puja's heart, spirit and bravery (and audience acceptance). She commits to him, even then wishing her parents could have blessed them. Brija exchange rings and hugs. As they hug, BBP voices that he loves her (and BBP has that strange look on his face which I for one have wondered about right from Pachmarhi). Oh dear!! Cheer up peeps Sđ¤ŹT happens!! And oooh, somebody has some nice manly-cured, buffed nails (not Puja).
Brija come up the temple stairs. BBP wears a white sherwani with a red scarf and Puja has her red dupatta over her head. Shamsher (welcome back đđź) is overseeing a havan and a priest (not a gandharva vivaah, strictly speaking that is). Brija take pheras and exchange jai malas. All through, the scene shifts between the wedding and the ex-lovenest where a frantic and hyperventilating Arti gulps cold water and futilely tries to contact BBP. In her frenzy, she spills and shatters a glass of milk (a bad omen).
Precap: Several scenes spliced together. Harivansh is telling Sumitra that he does not understand why Puja has to stay out all night. Arti is calling Bhavana trying to find out where Puja might have gone. Bhavana responds that she does not know. Rangoli is looking at a picture album, muttering to herself that Pandeyji has no option but remain hers forever. She then wonders aloud - where is the man? Brija seated near the havan; BBP looks a sad Puja. Arti comes on screen saying she will be crusading for justice for Puja from the 23rd of April.
