Rangoli storms back into the haveli, shouting at servants to get out of her way as they scuttle around. Giridhar wants to know what's going on. She says she can't bear it anymore, she keeps trying to restart her marriage and Brij keeps turning her down. G holds on to her arm when she would have left it at that - and hastily takes it away when she glares at it. (Yeah, she might just tear off the remaining one. Who knows, she probably chewed off the first one too.š¤£) She tells him Brij is playing a deeper game than even she can guess. G says Brij can't possibly be smarter than his jiji who knows everything in the blink of an eye unlike G himself who can never figure out what Brij is up to.
Rangoli says it's a woman's instinct. G is impressed by this English condition of his cousin's.š (Mrityunjay and Giridhar need to have a scene together. Maybe with Shukla!) Rangoli says today she asked Brij to start a family with her and he turned her down flat, refused to even visit the doctor with her. When a man who loves children, who is dying to be a father, who is angry with his wife for years because she aborted their baby without his permission, refuses to have a child when the opportunity presents itself, there can only be one explanation. Her suspicion has turned into a certainty - he has another woman in his life.
She orders G. to help her and says she needs all the info on Bhavna and Pooja fast. G. says he's on it.
The senior Tiwaris are adjusting to their new quarters. Sumitra is thinking of the eventual electricity bill and the effort required to clean the whole place, Harivansh says everything feels uncomfortably large and open after being so accustomed to their little home. The two of them test the bed and marvel at its softness. He says he would rather sleep on the floor because that's more familiar.
Pooja walks in and insists on bettering her parents. She tells them to sleep on the bed with the AC on. Both of them are shocked by the very idea - it'll consume a lot of electricity and they might catch a chill. Worldly Pooja is amused and insists on turning the AC on. The Tiwaris Sr. are impressed by the chill.
Sumitra says she needs to give Arti a glass of milk before she turns in because she didn't eat anything all day. Harivansh says its because Pooja ordered from a hotel like some kind of queen. The food was tasty but it didn't have the same taste as Sumitra's cooking. Pooja tells Sumitra to use the microwave to heat the milk because it will be faster. Again, the Tiwari are shocked at the idea. Pooja offers to teach Sumitra but Harivansh says people should live within their limits and these things are not for them. Pooja laughs at her cute parents. š
Arti comes and says she was planning to sleep elsewhere and needs a blanket from her mom. Pooja hands it to Arti while Sumitra goes off to heat milk. Arti is all fake smiles when her parents are looking but as soon as she has a chance, she tells Pooja under her breath that she can never sleep on velvet beds with the burden of someone else's charity on her. Pooja is hurt.
(Okay, throughout this episode, Arti behaves like a major š¤¬. She might be mad at her sister and she might have figured out that Brij is helping Pooja with her career but she ought to have the sense to know that Pooja knows nothing of the kind. Instead of using money to distance herself further from her sister, she needs to be trying to wrap herself closer to Pooja. I guess here's where we see Arti's youth and immaturity.)
Next morning, G. comes to Rangoli with Bhavna's phone records. He says he didn't really see anything suspicious but Rangoli is free to check it out for herself. Rangoli checks specifically for that one phone call she overheard. Lo and behold! Bhavna was not talking to Brij at that time. (Brij ji, if you must marry Karamchand, at least learn to lie better!) She remembers the name on Brij's phone and says it's all very interesting. She laughs and tells G. that the girl they want is Pooja Tiwari for sure.š² He is to find out where she is right that moment. G. gets on the job as Rangoli plots her evil to come. š”
Meanwhile, Brij is telling Shukla that he needs to start keeping an eye on G. because he's building up to something and that too very soon. (Yay! @ Bhaiyyaji! š„³ One step ahead as always. When does he have the time to think up an election strategy when he spends all his time saving himself and his secret lover from his wife?š²) He also shares that he doesn't know how to throw Rangoli off Pooja's scent. He also doesn't want to put Bhavana in danger. Shukla says he has a suggestion but is hesitant to share it. Brij gives him the go ahead. Shukla says Brij ought to stay away from Pooja for a few days. Brij gives him a quick glance but changes the subject to ask about the man all forumvaasis have been wondering about - the missing Shamsher. šShukla says Shamsher will be back in a couple of days.
Brij is not exactly pleased with this news. Suddenly the peon enters with an invite. A new nightclub has opened in a big hotel in Bhopal and he's invited to the opening. Brij looks it over and sees the headliner is someone he is a fan of. Alaap, Krish's Rock Band (no, seriously, that's the name of Krish's band!š¤£) is playing backup. Brij says he will have to attend by all means.
Once alone, he calls Pooja who picks up the phone after checking to see if she's alone. Brij apologizes for not picking up her call or replying to her message the night before and says they have to meet today to discuss things. Pooja is taken aback. He then astounds her further by telling her to invite Krish along. Pooja doesn't know how to do this out of the blue or why she should but Brij insists. They plan to meet at a coffee shop.
Arti is getting ready to go out when Sumitra comes there and asks her where she's going. Arti says shortly that just because Harivansh has moved to Bhopal doesn't mean she's going to sit at home. Sumitra is shocked by her manner and Arti quickly gains control over herself to say she's feeling a bit irritated because she's been housebound for so long. She's going out to look for work.
Sumitra doesn't understand how she's going to do this in a city like Bhopal. She tells Arti that Pooja is also going out so the two of them can go together. Arti says there's no need, she doesn't need anybody to hold her hand. Sumitra asks her if there's something wrong or if the two girls are hiding something from their parents. Arti says it's nothing like that. She just doesn't expect it all that hard to land a job at a beauty parlor.
Pooja comes there and says she's got something from Arti, she picked it up when she was shopping for Harivansh. In front of an appreciative Sumitra, Arti takes the hideous quilted champagne color bag but as soon as they're alone, she throws it aside and tells Pooja not to bother. She doesn't want anything bought with Pooja's money and she tells Pooja to never again test her self respect this way. š¤¢
(That's right, you idiot. š”Treat your baby sister's gift like it was some kind of charity or burden and reinforce the idea in her head that your relationship is now broken, forcing her to seek comfort in the arms of the one man you're trying to get her to leave! ARGH!š”š”)
Pooja is left standing there by herself, nearly in tears.
Precap: G. is shooting video at the coffee shop. Pooja walks slowly into view and gets a seat, followed by Brij. G. is full of glee as he thinks he's found proof enough for Rangoli. He says now is when the real fun begins, Pandeyji!
Oh, poor Giridhar.š Outfoxed by Brij again, and once again without Brij even knowing for certain that he was up to no good.𤣠I guess Rangoli is going to go up in flames tomorrow as she thinks it's not Pooja either and then she'll just chase her own tail for a while even as Brija get closer and closer. āŗļø
Meanwhile Brij is so busy planning, he's actually inviting another enemy into his bosom - Krish, his rival. How come he doesn't remember the look on Krish's face when Pooja was around? Now Pooja will be in Krish's band and Brij will eventually be unable to handle it, I guess. š¤
