And I didn't want to make Gunjan the crybaby type because that's not who she is, right? I guess her relationship with Mayank can also be seen as one representation of how oftentimes many young people fall head over heels into "love" too soon and then fall out of it just as quickly. Gunjan fell in "love" with Mayank at a point in time when she had lost her mausi ma with whom she was closest to, so in a sense she just needed someone to fill in that void of love, support, and guidance that had been snatched away from her so suddenly. I would say that this is probably why it wasn't hard for her to "extricate herself from the horror of her relationship," as you put it, because essentially she had already fallen out of love quite some time ago. I love how I just analyzed my entire thought process behind Gunjan's story. 😛😆
