Rajeev looked around at his hockey team, all the girls' faces were etched with determination to kill the rival team, except one who was grinning shamelessly. He had to smile to himself. Her smile is contagious, as Vihaan suggested so many times before.
As the girls filed out of the locker room, adorned with their red and white uniforms and hockey sticks, he grabbed Rachna's arms and pulled her back, "why are you grinning?" he asked with mock anger.
"Vihaan said to imagine you as captain of the cheerleading team screaming noisily and pointing pom-poms whenever you get angry!!" came the giggly response before it was turned to full blown laughter.
Rajeev Agarwal was stumped at the audacity of his naughty brother, "who else did he give this "advise" to?" he spat appalled.
His star player started laughing again,"don't worry Rajeev Sir, only me," she winked as she walked out the door. He followed her grudgingly with a mental note to kill Vihaan Agarwal.
Vihaan was only to be seen after the match, after the Swami Vivekanand Team won, to celebrate the victory. It has become a fete for him to enjoy the luxuries of the win. But Rajeev already hatched a plan in mind to get back at Vihaan.
"Vihaan can you go home and collect my black wallet from my room?" Rajeev asked neutrally, "I need to escort the girls to The Pizza Palace and I brought the wrong wallet."
With his trademark remark, "Vihaan is here, why fear", Vihaan left without seeing his brother's sly smirk.
The noisy, talented group of the winning team entered Caf World, disrupting the peaceful atmosphere. Rajeev would usually take them to the regular Pizza Palace simply because the staff and patrons were immune and prone to their noisy and boisterous bunch. He believed in discipline, however, outside the gates of Swami Vivekanand, he was as much a kid as any other them. So when his cell phone rang, he knew exactly who it was and was ready to carry out his plan.
"Yes Vihaan," he said into his mobile a bit loudly to draw some attention from the girls seated around the table, Rachna's first, "we're waiting at the college. The principal said he has an announcement to make to the team."
The girls listened with amusement as they quieted and shushed each other. They loved the cat and mouse game that Rajeev was planning and were unceremoniously "in" the plan.
"No, you reach directly at Pizza Palace, we'll meet you there," Rajeev said into his phone. The girls looked at him excitingly, ready to make fun of Vihaan for all the pranks he played on them.
The orders came at the table and his team of girls dug in enthusiastically like a hungry pack, as usual, forgetting everything else. But as expected, Rachna Garg scooted close to him and whispered, "are we eating without the great Vihaan Agarwal?" she questioned amused.
"Yes," he replied with a wink and picked up his grilled cheese burger and nudged her to follow suit with her aloo tikki.
Half way through their meals, Vihaan called and was appalled to be told that they decided against Pizza Palace and was headed to Caf World, upon reaching fifteen minutes later, he was distraught to discover that the food was done and the girls were contently chatting away with two of the people he loves most laughing hysterically at him.
