i don't think she is trying to impress vihan. she is just ignoring him... now who is left?no one.. she is trying to prove her better than gunjan.

I think I agree that she is doing it for her own self confidence. She is tired of being considered timid and a laid back traditional since Gunjan has arrived to live with them. She probably wants to tell herself that she can stand on her own without Gunjan's help. My guess is though that Vihaan will turn around to see a changed and more confident Rachna who does not give a ***k to who he is in college. And so, there comes the pairing, more mature, fun loving and outgoing Gunjan with a sober mature Mr. Right and a non traditional, not so Mr. Right Vihaan with a new confident, less mature traditional Rachna. The story will be about how these characters compromise and reflect their personalities when together under the same roof. I don't know though what would happen to Mayank and Charu, but the story is leading to the next phase of life where marriage is a compromise and adjustment rather than the bollywood created dreamy land- thence sapne suhane ladak pan ke.
