Presently we are seeing some romance but if u remember the last few tracks focused on their college experiences. For example, Rachna's hockey, Gunjan's acid attack and her fighting for college girls' rights to wear Western clothes. So i don't think showing other aspects is bad. After all the show is about their experiences not only about their college experiences but all aspects of their life. I for one do not want to see the show focus only on two girls studying and writing exams, that would be boring.
Re: Underlined 2: The CVs are showing that both boys and girls need not study or concentrate on a career. Mayank is shown as a guy who does not even take a job interview seriously. Do they want him to live on the handouts of Charu's father?

Mayank has never accepted any hand out from Charu's dad. Further more he failed one interview that doesn't make him a bum with no future or talent. He made a mistake and i am sure he will learn from it. That is what this show is about the experiences and mistakes we make in our youth.
Re: Underlined 3: If the show is only about searching for mates and getting married then they need to rename the show as "Shaadi ke chakkar mein kuwariyan"

Well finding husbands is only one aspect of the show so far there have been many different tracks dealing with different issues. Gender equality, having self confidence and coping with other types of loss have all been covered so far. So i guess young beautiful girls should logically fall in love. Notice i said fall in love and not marry before they graduate.

Excuse me. But if u watched the show u should remember that Rachna is going to marry after she finishes her studies. She is only getting engaged to Vihaan now. I remember that was the plan from day one to have her engaged till she finishes college. It is only in Mayank's wedding that we saw them push Gunjan to marry however otherwise it is understood that they both are getting married to their husbands after they finish college.

I don't think the audience is ready to see a show with no love interests and only women working. So until viewers' likes changes we won't see fully independent women with no romance in their lives. In addition, It is never shown that they need a man to survive. Gunjan actually proved the opposite, she left Mayank and decided to move on in her life. Keep in mind that she has no man in her life and is merely friends with Vihaan right now. So yes she is proving that u don't need a man to survive.

Thank you Orianthi! 👏

What I'm saying is that like serials normally do, the protagonists have love interests and the major premise that the CVs approach first is marriage and subsequently other activities come after, job, children etc.

What if the CVs are purposely doing this so that they can set an example for married women and Rachna and Gunjan decide to pursue careers, fighting against a matriarchal household such as one led by Savitri?
I'm not going to jump and say the CVs are promoting weak women because so far they haven't done that with Gunjan and Rachna. They haven't disappointed so far because clearly we all are watching.

Your underlined statement validates my point the CVs are neither clever nor creative they are sticking to sterotype!!

Any what I'm trying to say is they are clever because till now they have tried fresh ideas that appeal to the youth such as relationships, death, fighting for equality etc. just as orianthi said while still maintaining a stereotype because that is what the TRP audience likes to see. If we didn't see the girls having relationships the show would have been bland. No one wants to see the girls sit and study all the time.

That's what i was thinking as well. They would have made Gunjan a weak love struck girl who would forgive anything Mayank did. I am glad they showed her as being strong enough to walk away.

So much debate! Is it 👍🏼 or 👎🏼 dunno, as long as it is exciting to watch.
There are many reality shows out there, so if the cvs wanna twist and turn and twist let them, as long as they dont step on some toes.

I for one am ok with how the show goes, but I dont think that getting more TRPs should be the main motive, otherwise irreparable damage eg Mayanks weeding is done.

Stick to the theme, and more college, outings, excursions, intellectual stuff would be great.

This is what makes the show interesting! It wouldn't be fun if there were clear cut answers or else who would want to watch the show?
