I'm not the only one generalizing here, I hope you notice this haha

What about all the others who are writing essays defending our Indian sanskriti against other people who think a stupid kiss is okay. Aren't they also generalizing all people, who support a kiss, have morals down in the headquarters of jahannum?

Are they generalizing? I guess they are just putting forward what THEY or people around them believe in, basically speaking on behalf of the people for whom television is the only place left with little decency and like I said the number is huge so it may look like generalizing but it's nowhere that.

^.. that's not fair 😆 so because you disagree with me, I'm the one generalizing, whereas you agree with the others, so they're not generalizing?

Decency is a very subjective concept. What's decent to you, isn't decent to everyone.
So its not fair that some are generalizing the definition of decency, and shoving that down everyone's throat

Aren't you the one who said that the people who make fuss about kiss on small screen are the same ones who watch the vulgarity in bollywood movies with their tongues hanging out? Isn't it absolute generalizing?

Sure decency is a subjective matter but I choose to go by it's definition which stands true for maximum people around me. Others are doing the same. This is the definition due to which kissing scenes are either not usually shown or pushed to 11 pm slot.

liverach decency is something acceptable to one and all and u do not need to argue so much to prove it.In simple words a book kept on shelf straight is decent and the same kept on it crooked with pages half open is always indecent.definition of decency is the same everywhere but people have started manupulating it for their covienience

^ don't tell me to not argue about that, please 😆

Decency DOES differ to every individual.
I find most Indian serials pretty indecent in the way the guy unties the nadi on the back of teh girl's blouse, and shoves his face into her back in an erotic manner.

I can't watch THAT with my parents.
But a kiss between 2 teenagers, sans groping even... that really is not indecent to me.

By hiding behind the assumption that the definition of decency is common knowledge, don't you dare discard MY personal opinion or perception of it.

@Geeta
That's not my definition of generalization =)

There u are...u cannot watch a guy untying the nadi on the back of the girl's blouse which is MEANT to make people understand DECENTLY what will happen and not showing the exact scene to NOT to hurt sentiments of viewers as you are among a smalll small fraction of people who are neither Indian nor foreigners, who are neither modern nor traditional, but who call themselves modern by wanting to see the EXACT scenes and are dissapointed and say that the scene was indecent.
On the other hand, the kiss scene was not indecent to u as u got what u wanted to see.
decency is something acceptable to one and all,u dont need to argue on it.But I can never make people understand who keep their tongues out and sit in front of TV waiting for an INDECENT scene ORNAMENTAL to their eyes and then call it DECENT to justify it

Nothing.. seriously.. that was not even a proper kiss.. it was more like a peck on the lips..

I don't find anything wrong about it.. it's normal people do kiss.. even though I don't follow the show but I'm guessing it's about teenagers? what do you expect from them? I guess they tried to show what teenagers go through?

That's indecent too & not shown in every drama, so are you saying that just cuz they are already showing certain indecent stuffs on TV, we should welcome new ones?

Also if that's not your definition of generalization then I have nothing to argue about.
