Star's version of Vivaah?

Sapna Babul Ka....Bidaai — that's the title of the new show on Star Plus which will replace the recently launched Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni due to low TRPs So Meri Awaaz will be shifted to the afternoon or early evening slot but Star officials are not yet talking about it yet. Meanwhile Bidaai the new show starts on October 8th, Mon-Thurs at 9 pm It's about an orphan girl Sadhna brought up by her mama and how her biggest asset her own beauty becomes her biggest curse! Sadhna is extremely fair and beautiful in omplete contrast with her cousin sister Ragini, who is dark and unattractive. The two cousins love each other but her mami has always hated her for her beauty and simplicity, which becomes the ground for emotional upheavals in the family. This seems to be a take off from the Sooraj Barjatya film Vivaah with one fair and one dark skinned girl. Though it is yet unknown if the fire angle will be added to the story too.
