Well, I feel topic like selflessness is very subjective. There is nothing right or wrong as it depends on our own interpretation. I am into research filed (ofcourse, I am not doing research on selflessness though 😉) and I have seen there are many theories (psychological, social-science etc.) which contradict each other. Each person who contradicts gives his/her valid reasons for it. These are not like pure science subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry where chances of contradiction are less. Because, there it is more of quantitative studies and hence numbers prove whether things are right or wrong. Just like Einstein's E=MC2.😃
Similarly, I enjoy reading some of the posts in this forum. Though, I enjoy other serials much better these days than Bidai, I like to come to this forum mainly because of some matured discussions taking place here. Well, I am not telling there won't be any matured discussions in other forums. But, I am not aware of it much. Here, mainly I like to read Bani's posts as I feel they contain matured analysis of situations/characters, Vishmewell's posts because they crack me up many times, Smitha/Smita, Anu, Yanks, Laxmi (queen of emoticons), Appu (Dew-drop pearl), purhearts, unhappy (dont know where she is these days), chocolover, Suchitra and many more.. I don't agree with everyone each time and at the same time I don't expect others to agree with me. Because as I have mentioned in the first para, these things are very subjective. Even if a proper study with huge number of data analysis (N=1000+) is done on such matters, there still can be another angle to see things. So instead of trying to prove others wrong, it is better if we discuss why we have a different opinion.
In this topic also, I am sure people who appreciated Khushi's acts definitely didn't support any kind of self-destructive nature. First of all, I don't think Khushi has done any self-destructiveness in offering a role to Tammy. It is a small sacrifice/token of love for her sister. Well, even I don't like this nature of such a small child because of the past track of Bidai. I just don't want her to suffer like Sadhna. That's it. If the show has just started (without any past history), then I would have called Khush's sacrifice to her sister as a small token of love for her sister. As I myself have seen such things in my family, I don't think something unusual in this.
Having said this, I would definitely love to see Ragini/Anmol (mainly Ragini here) teaching the kids to take the right paths. Khushi needs to be taught not to support Tammy in each and every phase of life (as this may make Tammy too much dependent on others, which is not good) and Tammy to accept things as it comes in life (without expecting to win/get things each time). That would be a major challenge for Ragini. Actually, Ragini is matured enough to see the big picture. She should stop Khushi (just like how she told to herself in today's episode) for the sake of Khushi and Tammy both. If Khushi supports Tammy thoughout like this, its a problem for not only Khushi but for Tammy also. However, she has done right in acknowledging Khushi's love for Tammy. That is no doubt, very much appreciable (both Khushi's love and Ragini's acknowledgment)
So, just like how selflessness has many dimensions, its interpretation also has many dimensions. No one is supporting self-destructiveness here. Actually, selflessness and self-destructive nature are different (atleast in case of Khushi).
Phew, I think I have written a big essay. Hope u guys don't get bored (if you read) reading this. 😃
