I think I'm the only one - perhaps - but I love this storyline. I have a little rant.
Bidaai had been very boring for long time. But finally - I think it has reached its peak. I like Ranvir & Ragini and I also like Alekh & Sadhana.
Ranvir did wrong. He defended his bhabhi etc but when he went back & hit the man with a rod - almost killing him (ithink - is he still alive?) - he commited a huge crime. I think it's important to think of this from the other side - if your realtive/friend was attacked by a man not cuz he misbehaved with a woman but in some other scenairo - maybe he's being robbed or your reative gets into a fight with another - - fighting is ok - but what if someone hit your realtive with a lethel weapon? You too, would want the truth to be known - right? You too would want that person punished. The only way law can be enforced is by truth. And Sadhana did just that. Tell the truth. How was she wrong? Yes - it sent her bro-in-law to jail & hurt her family's sentiments but she was not wrong.
I think Ranvir should have thought of his wife & family before doing such a thing. Yes - he was angry & beat him up but when he let his anger take over & hit the man with a rod - he commited a crime thus he deserves to be put in jail to learn his lesson. Justice was served regardless - the law was upheld. He commited a crime no matter how humane he was afterwards.
Its rare to see such a thing on Indian television. A well-performed storyline (Ranvir's attempt to murder) and the way it was situated.
In terms of Ragini - she was always very insecure & had low self-esteem due to her skin color but this weakness became nothing compared to how shocked and uncontrollable she became when her husband stood trial. Not just that, the way she behaved - crying and not eating properly - knowing she's pregnant -- is her fault. She has no one to blame. She's an adult - I believe she understand pregnancy and the importance of taking care of her unborn child. She loved her husband so much -- did she not care for their child? Then running down the stairs -- WHY? -- she brought this upon herself. You know I always thought Ranvir-Rag room was downstairs. I remember ALekh coming downstairs to meet Ranvir all the time. Maybe I'm wrong. But Ragini is def wrong for getting caught up in the hype of blaming Sadhana for her problems.
It's sad to see that the sister that brought Rag to Rajvansh house and introduced her to Ranvir & all the hapiness that she had -- has turned and asked WHO ARE YOU? It's even sadder to see a mother-in-law claiming that her daughter-in-law was nothing but a nurse for her distrubed son. But what's worse - is seeing the snakes that are kept in the family & house when it's known how much they have betrayed everyone. And if you think it can't get worse - IT DOES! A woman blaming her daughter's unhappiness and troubles in life on another person. Isn't that just convinent? She did not think once - if she were to leave this world - is this how she would like the world to treat Ragini like they're treating Sadhana?
I know i"m going on forever but there are some key lessons tobe learned or the realties of the world shown here:
1- you can do a lot for people - but it only takes one thing for them to turn around and ask you "what have you ever done for me?"
2 - the problems women especially in South Asian famalies face when they are an orphan & the issues & sudden losss of rights a daughter-in-law faces in Desi families (being kicked out of her own home)
3 - the consequences of your actions - Ranvir's attempt to murder & Sadhana's telling the truth led to everyone's ugly head to come out
4 - the lack of love & familial trust that is more & more prevalent in desi families in terms of bahus & their in-laws. Malti not loving her inlaws as her own parents & Vasu not loving Sadhana & labeling her nothing as soon she did soemthing against her. You're only family until you scatch my back - it seems.
There are more - I'm sure you guys can name them. But I think it's important to think of this -- and watch rather than cry or curse the creatives for what's happening to Ragvir or Salekh. We all know they will be together sooner than later. And it gets boring anyway - when they're togteher. This distance is FINALLY interesting - to see how strong are these relations.
I think I'm going to end it there. I thank anyone who actually read this & is reading this now. THANKS!👏
