I think I'm the only one - perhaps - but I love this storyline. I have a little rant.
Bidaai had been very boring for long time. But finally - I think it has reached its peak. I like Ranvir & Ragini and I also like Alekh & Sadhana.
Ranvir did wrong. He defended his bhabhi etc but when he went back & hit the man with a rod - almost killing him (ithink - is he still alive?) - he commited a huge crime. I think it's important to think of this from the other side - if your realtive/friend was attacked by a man not cuz he misbehaved with a woman but in some other scenairo - maybe he's being robbed or your reative gets into a fight with another - - fighting is ok - but what if someone hit your realtive with a lethel weapon? You too, would want the truth to be known - right? You too would want that person punished. The only way law can be enforced is by truth. And Sadhana did just that. Tell the truth. How was she wrong? Yes - it sent her bro-in-law to jail & hurt her family's sentiments but she was not wrong.
I think Ranvir should have thought of his wife & family before doing such a thing. Yes - he was angry & beat him up but when he let his anger take over & hit the man with a rod - he commited a crime thus he deserves to be put in jail to learn his lesson. Justice was served regardless - the law was upheld. He commited a crime no matter how humane he was afterwards.
Its rare to see such a thing on Indian television. A well-performed storyline (Ranvir's attempt to murder) and the way it was situated.
In terms of Ragini - she was always very insecure & had low self-esteem due to her skin color but this weakness became nothing compared to how shocked and uncontrollable she became when her husband stood trial. Not just that, the way she behaved - crying and not eating properly - knowing she's pregnant -- is her fault. She has no one to blame. She's an adult - I believe she understand pregnancy and the importance of taking care of her unborn child. She loved her husband so much -- did she not care for their child? Then running down the stairs -- WHY? -- she brought this upon herself. You know I always thought Ranvir-Rag room was downstairs. I remember ALekh coming downstairs to meet Ranvir all the time. Maybe I'm wrong. But Ragini is def wrong for getting caught up in the hype of blaming Sadhana for her problems.
It's sad to see that the sister that brought Rag to Rajvansh house and introduced her to Ranvir & all the hapiness that she had -- has turned and asked WHO ARE YOU? It's even sadder to see a mother-in-law claiming that her daughter-in-law was nothing but a nurse for her distrubed son. But what's worse - is seeing the snakes that are kept in the family & house when it's known how much they have betrayed everyone. And if you think it can't get worse - IT DOES! A woman blaming her daughter's unhappiness and troubles in life on another person. Isn't that just convinent? She did not think once - if she were to leave this world - is this how she would like the world to treat Ragini like they're treating Sadhana?
I know i"m going on forever but there are some key lessons tobe learned or the realties of the world shown here:
1- you can do a lot for people - but it only takes one thing for them to turn around and ask you "what have you ever done for me?"
2 - the problems women especially in South Asian famalies face when they are an orphan & the issues & sudden losss of rights a daughter-in-law faces in Desi families (being kicked out of her own home)
3 - the consequences of your actions - Ranvir's attempt to murder & Sadhana's telling the truth led to everyone's ugly head to come out
4 - the lack of love & familial trust that is more & more prevalent in desi families in terms of bahus & their in-laws. Malti not loving her inlaws as her own parents & Vasu not loving Sadhana & labeling her nothing as soon she did soemthing against her. You're only family until you scatch my back - it seems.
There are more - I'm sure you guys can name them. But I think it's important to think of this -- and watch rather than cry or curse the creatives for what's happening to Ragvir or Salekh. We all know they will be together sooner than later. And it gets boring anyway - when they're togteher. This distance is FINALLY interesting - to see how strong are these relations.
I think I'm going to end it there. I thank anyone who actually read this & is reading this now. THANKS!👏

i absolutely agree with you. sadhna isnt to blame at all and it just goes to show that no matter how much she does for people no one will ever appreciate her. when vinu was in prison she married alekh to save him, she helped bring together ragini and ranvir and got them married, plus she had a major hand in helping alekh become a normal person and grow closer towards vasu and she had the nerve to call her a nurse. no wonder ambika went against vasu. i would kinda expect mamiji not to side with sadhna as she is just selfish about herself and ragini. and ragini ......... has she forgotten what sadhna has ever done for her its such a shame how their relationship deteriorated.

its lovely to see mamaji siding with sadhna and it is nice to know that alekh still cares for sadhna i just wish he has the guts to stand up for sadhna infront of vasu.

i hope that sadhna never goes back to that house. she was never appreciated much there and if she was to go back it would possibly be same thing over and over again. she should go somewhere else and make a life for herself away from the family.

and as for ranvir who told him to beat that man to a pulp? he should have had some self control. cant wait for the truth to come out about this man and for him to be set free. it would be good to see sadhna helping ranvir get out but from this i want to see a stronger sadhna and allow vasu and the family to beg for forgiveness but unfortunately this would never happen.

I would have liked Sadhana to leave far far away. I wish mamaji hadnt found her so soon. It would have nice to see some panic. We need Ekta Kapoor's help here - she always does the 6 yrs later - the woman is living alone in mumbai with lots of sucess and etc.
I think Alekh just doesnt understand Sadie. His mother has emotiionally blackmailed him as she does with everyone else. He can't stand up to her - his own father can't so how would he? But he needs to buck up. Get free of the emotional blackmail and bring his wife back home. He needs to fulfill his duties as a husband as well even though he's trying to be good son.
Its sad to see that - Alekh doesn't realize that Sadhana left everyone in her life to live with him and help him cope with his illness. And she suffered so much - yet he doesn't see it. But Vasu claims she suffered for Alekh and now is suffering for Ranvir - but still what about the girl who left her house to bring light into yours? No one sees her mental suffering -- everyone just sees the physical suffering Rag is going through - and the only reason Vasu cares for Rag is cuz she was carrying Ranvirs child -- otherwise she was always indifferent to Rag.

Even, I started watching Bidaai just couple of episodes back. It was so boring in between...only love, bed room scenes ...nothing rooted to reality..but it is rooted to reality.
We think many people as good and true friends, but their real faces come out when they face adverse situation. I feel its always good to face some critical situation in life just to recognise who is really someone's own...
Even in this forum, there arereplies found, which openly state that Sadhna's character is loathed by them. Why to blame Kaushi, Vasu... there are many people in reallife who act in the way Kaushi, Vasu treat Sadhna...But the best part of the show is Mamaji, how stable a character can be, he is an extreme example...always on the right path and never ever hesitate to protest against something wrong...

The storyline is okay but Sadhana needs to stop crying and be strong and independent. It would be nice to see her taking a job and supporting herself. Finally she shouldn't forgive all these thankless people specially Alekh so easily as everyone should realize her importance. But she is so nice that she can never hold any grudge against anyone. Even in her dream all she wanted was to hug her jiji.
Hopefully the CV's will show something positive in the end. Everyone should realize that Sadhana was right and how badly they treated her.

YOU TOTALLY GET IT! I am in total agreement with everything that you wrote. I mean if the tables were turned and someone beat a family member of theirs to a pulp, they would want justice and the ilk...but when it comes to them..they want to defy the judicial system....they should be glad Ranvir got only 1 YEAR in prison...that passes by so quickly...in real life though he would have gotten a minimum of 5 to 10 years....yea Ranvir beat the guy to save Sadhna...but then he should have controlled himself...why hit the dude with a rod?...if it were me I'd give him a swift kick in the family jewels and walk away with Sadhna...nobody is above the law no matter what socioeconomic status you are in...he broke the law and he is now facing the repercussions...and notice how none of them jumped to get Sadhna some justice when she got shot...it was only Ranvir...and even that was half baked...noone was jailed or anything

I'll cut a little slack for Ragini...she was expecting Sadhna to help Ranvir...then she got shocked to see him jailed...then she lost her kid...only one of which was Sadhna's fault...yes she told the truth...boo hoo the dude got off easy...one year...all she had to do was wait 9 months...pop that baby out and then boom Ranvir is home without missing any of the important parts...I mean...she is an adult...she didn't take care of herself...and she suffered the loss...nobody to blame but herself...instead of wallowing in her sadness, she should have realized that this is the one thing that is keeping a fire lit up inside of Ranvir during his jail sentence, therefore she should have done everything too keep it safe and sound...and also...why didn't the family members keep someone to watch over her...well for one she is pregnant and second her husband is in jail...so she may have been a bit absentminded in the first few days....as it stands...I am so over Ragini...she's acting like a brat now...Sadhna is more of a daughter to Mamaji cause she actually withheld and abided by the principles that he taught her...and not choose to throw them away when times are unfavourable a la Ragini

In my opinion...Vasu should be worshipping the ground Sadhna walks on...for one...nobody in their right mind would knowingly walk into a marriage with someone not mentally stable...two, the reason why Aalekh is like this now is solely because of Sadhna and her joint efforts with others...and Aalekh is another thing...Vasu was the one that locked him up in a room when he was young...and he totally forgot that...Sadhna was the one that stuck with him through his sickness and through thick and thin...and she still sleeps on the couch even though he's alright now...if you ask me the scale tips in favour of Sadhna definitely...and don't get me started on Vinu and Mamiji...if it were allowed...there would be a lot of expletives in this entire paragraph...but yea they are ungreatful...I haven't watch Bidaai in its heyday but if Sadhna got married to get Vinu out of jail...and he doesn't acknowledge that...then he should be thrown in the slammer again...try to rejog his memory of her sacrifice and all that...Mamiji I'm not at all worried about at the moment...because she is gonna get her just desserts in the form of Malti and now Mamaji because he doubts her...thank god that he's changing his opinion about her...its about damn time...oh and he's also hating on Vinu...which I approve of as well...and if Sadhna has any self respect...she should not jump at the opportunity to help them again...let them wriggle around in their misery for a bit

hehe sorry for the long and cynical reply...but Sadhna needs to grow a backbone...she doesn't need the ungreatful and opportunistic people in her life

you know I agree with you on everything except one.
I don't think Ranvir deserved to go to jail.
I don't think justice was served in this case. For one Ranvir was in that place minding his own business,he didn't go there planning to kill someone.
The goon on the other hand went there with an intention to kill.if He got more hurt then he bargained for ...then tough luck.
Ranvir was reacting to a situation ,he was high on adrenaline almost like a reflex. He didn't have time to plan or analyse the situation.
this reminds me of a ridiculous case of the theif who injured himself while trying to break in and sued the homeowner for criminal negligence.
