Exactly!! The lady at the boutique was still "beneath" her...but this is Sheetal...her best friend for life who has the same status as her....so now she feels insecure expressing her views and putting down someone else (especially since she agrees with her)!

I think Vasu believes Ragini is a good girl and that Ragini loves Ranvir a lot and Ranvir loves her as well, however, Vasu was forced to accept this relationship. I don't believe she ever accepted it truly, but realized that by accepting this relatioship she stands to gain. She got Aalekh and her husband back. Everyone in her family is happy whereas if she rejected Ragini, she would've lost everyone aside from Avni and Naveen.

Vasu still believes that Ragini isn't pretty otherwise when Sheetal said this is your choice, Vasu would've said yes instead of justifying it by saying it was a love marriage and Ragini is a nice girl.

She's from Canada. I don't know about racism in Canada, but parts of America are liberal. I'm glad I live in California because I do hear bad things about other places besides the South in America. But hey, we can't be that bad if we voted in the first African-American president. I think this Sheetal brought in her whole class mentality to Canada from India. I doubt Canada is that hung up on class anyways! I always find it sad that people insult people from their own culture or ethnicity. I dunno how much Vasu's viewpoint that Ragini is a good girl will last.....With Avni constantly poisoning her ears about Ragini and the prejudice she still has present somewhere inside her, I don't think it will take her long to start believing the worst of Ragini and Sadhna once again.

Because even if she's like a giddy kid who's collected back all her family members like toys, she is still easily swayed by what her peer group thinks.

Yeah, she basically made a deal with herself...Vasu gave up her choice of a beautiful bahu for Ranvir in order to get the love back of Alekh and her family members....It was a compromise....and people like the boutique lady and Sheetal keep rubbing salt in her wounds...they keep reminding her of what she gave up!
