n about he sonia episode...i guess the time span was not made clear.....so i guess with time his feelings had changed n all.....

I think the Sonia affair was superficial anyways....and the fact that he managed to get over it in a relatively short span of time was MEANT to show that.....I doubt it would ever be as easy for him if it had been Ragi instead of Sonia.
As for the Ragi situation, no there was a time in b/w when he DIDN'T have the hope of a happy future with her....he had resigned himself to the fact that he's practically lost her and he was STILL fighting to free her brother to bring her happiness.....so that was different....the high hopes only surfaced recently after it seemed that they'd finally be together.....this is the first time since that his hopes have waned.
Anyways, they can both give equal competition to each other sometimes in being defeatist😆.....but in general Ranvir is more positive than Ragi....thank god for that!😆

@Anu, Tanu: i understand Anu...but what i'm trying to say is if he said that to avoid being the reason of pain to others....then him using any different line like....i'll not marry ragini or anyone else wud still have caused pain to his loved ones.
He was trying to show Vasu that he is her son and as adamant as she is...(remember how she syas....no more discussion on this topic on tuesdays epi).
He wanted to show her that he'll die hurting inside being seperated from Ragni but will not allow others to suffer along with him.

But then like i said...how his character had been portrayed since beginning even after marriage he'll be good husband to Ragini and he'll support when its right but he'll be an obedient son to Vasu as well.....and it'll depend who he chooses if there is conflict between Vasu and Ragini.

And also its useless to compare Ranvir to Alekh coz like we all know (may be coz of his condition) Alekh is more outspoken then ranvir....coz Alekh doesnt realize the pain it'll cause to his family if he does or said something totally unimaginable....but ranvir does realize this and thats y they r different....Ranvir knows and understands the meaning of family...and thats y all this chaos(not the right word to use but true).

@Anu...
thats true.....we cant help it that the social rules dictate that ragina has to go over to ranvir's house....so all would expect him to be stronger.....but i guess he is in a major dillema.....having to choose between his mother n his love....hope all turns out well ....even post-marriage.....

I think things are different after marriage becoz then he will be just as responsible for Ragini as a husband as right now he feels towards Vasu as a son, so then i think he will stand up for the right thing, like he did in his confrontation of Vasu earlier. Ranveer has always stood up for the right thing even in face of opposition and difficulty, as is obvious by his efforts towards Vineet and his support of sadhna through many Vasu incidents in the past. In the future, i think as a husband he will realize his responsibility towards ragini and act accordingly.
I am just very pissed that creatives give Vasu's charachter so much Bhaav........

Very valid point! I agree....Aalekh doesn't usually think or have to think about the ramifications of what he says cuz he's childlike....but Ranvir has to be more responsible towards his family....in a way be the elder son even though he is the younger one.....bittersweet irony, nahin?

And anyways what is their rishta(After marriage)without a bit ladaii jagda..The main thing which we ought to look out for is the way they'll manaoo each other after every ladaii of theirs...How cuteeee!! Their innocence filled apologies..Muaaaaah!!
At the end it's RagVir forever and not Vasu's nakhraas forever!!Ranvir will surely realise what kinda mom he's got!!Then he wont give her any bhaav!!

@Anu,Hiba,Jiya, Tanu- Well said... About post marriage prediction.. the thing which i have appriciated is the way they have shown each and every relationship and also most of the couple's r by eachother ...I hope that Ranvir and Ragini have atleast each other's support rather than anything else!!

@Anu- ABout Sonia... it wasnt easily digestable that Ranvir got over so soon... But onething which is my so called theory Sonia pretended to be the girl what Ranvir wanted.... physically she fitted the bill in terms of looks and in front of Ranvir pretended to be the gem of a person and emotionally he thought her thoughts r totally compatible... the things which he likd about her was the culture she had(no smoking etc) which wasnt true... With Ragini it was different indeed..... She was the exactly same thoughts what Ranvir thought about and ditto for Ragini..when she was infactuated to Saket he mentioned characteristicis of her dream guy...which was exactly where Ranvir fitted the bill...However i want to say again the more complications are...the more its more sureity n fun to watch the show!!

Luv,

Shagun

I think Ranvir will make a good supporting husband once he's married to Ragini. He'll be able to see Ragini and her pain more clearly than now. Today he only saw Vasu and went by that.

I think whatever Ranvir has said has made an impact on Vasu. She is melting as we speak. Remember in the preview, it shows she's wiping her tears before she opens the door. I bet she's thinking about Ranvir's words. Plus Choti Ma had it out with her as well.

As for Ragini's attitude, Ragini has always thought that way and Ragini has every right to have a defeatist attitude. At every step in her life, a dream of hers was shattered so of course she's going to believe that it won't work out. It's not her fault.

Ranvir, on the other hand, shouldn't have a defeatist attitude because I don't think he's tried hard enough to convince Vasu. Yes, he set Vinu free, etc. That's all good and shows how much he loves Ragini, but remember when he first realized he loved Ragini, the way he begged Mamaji and Mamiji just to see Ragini? Why couldn't he have done that with his mother? Why didn't he beg her for his love?

Also, why did he make promises to Ragini and her father? He shouldn't have done that and at the first hurdle, he breaks his promises. That was messed up. I understand that he feels bad for his mom and he loves her. That's great and all, but he shouldn't have made promises that he wasn't 100% sure that he could keep and since he has made those promises he should've worked his rear end off to fulfill them.

Mujhe sirf yeh kehna tha.

@Shugs: Yeah, Sonia was basically a mirage....Ranvir THOUGHT she was everything he wanted....so she was superficial...which is why I said that if Ragini had been in place of Sonia, and he had lost her, he would never have been able to get over it so easily....probably completely shattered.
btw, who was this Saket?? And do you have the vid for this scene you are talking about?? I'd really like to see Ragi talking about her dream guy! LOL
@Rahm: Bas?? Itna sa hi kehna tha?? LOL
Ranvir HAS literally folded his hands in front of his mother many times.....but EVERYONE in the family knows that begging Vasu for ANYTHING is pointless (except for Sadi who continues to grovel...lol).....so he tried all other possible methods to make Vasu agree...
But yeah, he did make many tall promises which he should remember before giving up.....but then, guess he couldn't foresee the future that Vasu would be THIS rigid....Love buoyes a person sometimes into not thinking so practically....one WANTS to believe it will defeat all odds.
Bas. Mujhe bhi itna hi kehna tha....lol.
