LOL....I think she is all talk when it comes to this stuff but is unwilling to really act out on the big words that she may use.....for e.g., she tried to branch out into the reality genre with two shows....and those were the most pathetic excuses for reality shows I've ever seen......zero in terms of talent and dancing and high on the kind of typical manufactured drama that her soaps excel in👎🏼 Yeah, I think I know which show you're talking about. That was probably the most OTT, ridiculous, most overly dramatic reality show i've ever seen on Indian tv. It really was on par with the ridiculous-ness of her fiction shows in this regard. The funny thing was that it was called, 'kaun jeetega bollywood ka ticket' - so i assumed it was supposed to be about discovering acting talent, but they put like 2 mins long clips showcasing their 'acting' before they spent 10 mins on the dancing. You'd think in a show like this the acting would take priority, but nooooo. What I find really ironic is that she is the most powerful soap producer in the country and she truly COULD bring about a change if she sincerely wanted to.....but she'd rather stick to her 'tried and tested' formula....which is not working anymore.....and I wonder when she'll realize that😕.....it is that SINCERITY that Ekta has lost sight of. This is true. She has the kind of power and influence in the Indian television industry to very well take a leap of faith and try out something new if she sincerely wanted to. Wonder when she'll realise this... Y'know, on a completely random note, I once heard that Ekta watches DMG!! So maybe that explains somethings.....That aside, I too am waiting for the day we get something of the calibre of a Lost or Heroes.....or sitcoms of the calibre of Friends, Scrubs.......I think a desi version of Charlie's Angels would be so awesome! If well made, that is.....that level of quality seems a ways away for Indian tv currently.Ooooooh, an Indian version of Charlies Angels would be really interesting. You can't get more anti-Ekta.. er, I mean pro-feminist than that. And i really loved Scrubs, that was a really good show. It may take ions for Indian television to reach the quality of some foreign tv shows, but i think they'll get there eventually.... or so i hope... i don't want to watch shows centered on family forever.
