A very valid point pragz....I never thought about this....and I completely agree with you...bit I am not sure I thought choti ma was Vasu's sis? I am not sure about this fact.😕

Yup....choti maa looks very didgnified and her dress sense is great. Actually its much better than Vasu😳

Now coming to Vasu's objection with Ragini...Vasu is a perso who is very dominating and a arrogant attitude. She is very manipulative, selfish, and she is one who can do anything to get things done her way. She wouldnt have selected sadhna as her DIL if Alekh had been normal...only when she was ridiculed by some ladies that she couldnt find a beautiful wife for Alekh...Vasu took it as a challenge and knowing saadhna's need for money to save mamaji she manipu;ated the situation...so being that she would never agree to Ragini's marriage with Ranvir as she thinks Ragini is not suitable in looks, education and status to Ranvir. And ofcourse the show is over exaturating Ragini's colour...its for drama purpose!😛

Hmm choti maa is not so dark as Ragini.. there'z lill diffrence between both of them.. like 19/20 diff.

but i m not understanding why is vasu making diz a big issue?? i think for my point of view diz iz the story if vasu will not make diz issue big then notthing will left in drama.. what do u say guyzZ??

What Bidaai is showing is extremely realistic. Most people in our country look down on girls who are dark. I have seen many such instances despite the girl having good looks, education etc. Most people are very superficial and judge negatively based on just skin colour.

Today, throughout the world, negative remarks or actions based on colour prejudice are considered to be rascist and in pure bad taste. Look, how Shipa Shetty won accolades for her dignified behaviour in the face of rascist remarks inspired by skin colour. And how Jade Goody was universally denounced (even in our own country) as someone outright horrible.

However, we never pause to think how rascism is rampantly followed in our own backyard when one neighbour remarks snidely about another's "black" complexion -- indulging in the good old gossip, or the mother-in -law insinuates that the bahu is not good enough for her son as the bahu is so dark or rather "black"according to parlance. How hypocrites are we!
