Additi Gupta: For me the most interesting part during Navrathri is getting ready for the dance and the excitement to meet boys. As I was from a girl's school, meeting guys was like having an experience of meeting aliens. We were a gang of girls and we used pass comments on boys. Playing dhandiya was always a learning space and having that as an excuse I have hit a lot of people. In return I too have got blows several times.

thank you for the article.AG has shared this teenage experience about navarathri in last year's navarathri special SBS.she said she lived in a gujarathi colony and learned dhandiya.
