You're so right, there is no one to root for in this show. You don't know why Pihu and Rudr love each other, nor why Pihu is now getting married to someone else (surely not because of one measely slap)! And also, Gauri... Her whole life is in tatters and she is focussing on helping Rudr? I thought without her store, the family situation is on rough times (didn't she sell some jewellery to pay the rent?) And yet here she is dreaming and thinking about a 'friend' - weird.
The parents, the less said the better. Over dramatic, overly madeup and totally over-the-top — without there being a good reason for it all!
The three main leads are really doing a fantastic job - but without background, it is hard to know them and feel for them. The only one character, who has been done a little justice too has been that of Gauri - for her troubles, that is.
