About Hotstar, Social Networking, trps and hashtag s

I just do not understand this.

1) Why does Hotstar upload the episode up at 630am. By the time it’s up. The episode is already up on external sites.

I do not live in India. A year ago I use to watch the episodes in my am. Now I get to see it in my pm the previous day.

I know the channel makes money with premium customers. But if they are choosing the television no. How is that helping us?

2) What about social networking and hashtags. I know the network does a lot of advertising on sm. Does that help on trps.

3) What’s a hashtag?
