27th August 08 Written Update! - short and long

Saagar and Ganga go to the mandir (the one in their house!) They fold their hands, and look at each other lovingly! Saagar sits down on a stool thing, Shubodh and Shanta comes! Ganga picks up the Aarti plate from near the statue of God! She puts a tikka on Saagar's head, while he stares at her lovingly!

Ganga: (thinks!) After today this will be our relation Saagar! the bond of love will not tie us … just one of blessings and good wishes! (they stare at each other, then Ganga starts to go Aarti!)

Saagar: (thinks!) today by giving a big sacrifice, you have changed our love into worship! And now I will not let this love be little, I won't let it! (they continue to stare at each other!)

Shubodh and Shanta smile at each other, then Shanta goes to get the material for the sehra from near the statue! she gives it to Ganga, while Shubodh takes the Aarti plate from Ganga!

Ganga starts to tie the shera!

Ganga: This is not a Sehra, it is a new responsibility … a new relation … it's the beginning of a new life! (Saagar is staring down, looking depressed! He has a flashback of him saving Ganga at the dam and some other village scenes! Ganga continues to tie the sehra!) When you will take the Pehras with Kaveri didi, then with every pehra there will be a vow! (Saagar slowly starts to look up at Ganga!) And every vow will be a lock! (Saagar has flashbacks of some mandir scenes back in the village! Ganga continues to tie the sehra!) Every breath, every moment (she says something didn't catch it! Saagar starts to lower his eyes!) And after the 7 pheras are over, you will be each others! (Saagar is again staring down, looking depressed, while Ganga continues to tie the Sehra!) Forever and ever! (Saagar has a flashback of their Sangam in the village!) When you will put Sindoor in Kaveri didi's maang, then her life's colours will be yours! (Saagar has a flashback of when he tried to put Sindoor in Ganga's maang, but she stops him! Ganga is still tying the Sehra!) The moment you put a Mangulsutra around Kaveri didi's neck, at that moment all her happiness, all her tears, all her feelings will be yours! (Saagar is still staring down, he has a flashback of when he proposed to her!)

Saagar is sitting with the Sehra over his face! With Ganga standing next to him!

Ganga: Get up Saagar! (Saagar gets up!) Step towards your new life! (Saagar lifts the Sehra off his face! Ganga smiles at him!) A new relationship is waiting for you! (Saagar stares at her depressed, while Ganga smiles at him with teary eyes! Shubodh and Shanta also smile! Saagar then nods at Ganga!) Come!

Saagar and Ganga go to the mandap! Kaveri gets up! Shanta and Ganga pick up the plates with the garlands in it! Kaveri puts it on Saagar, while Ganga looks a bit upset, (I think she was crying!) Saagar puts it around Kaveri! Everyone claps, which makes Ganga realise the need to smile, she smiles and also claps! Eevryone is smiling, and then they sit down! Ganga looks distressed, the pandit puts a flower or something in Kaveri's hand! Ganga is even more distressed! Saagar and Kaveri put something in the fire! The Pandit asks who will do the Kanyadaan! Everyone looks worried! Shubodh gets up and says that as a brother, he will do it, Kaveri has tears in her eys, so does Ganga! Shubodh goes to the Mandap and puts Kaveri's hand in Saagar's! Ganga is crying, while everyone else looks happy! The pandit says that the groom's bhabhi needs to do the Ghantbandan! Ganga smiles and goes inbetween Saagar and Kaveri, she ties the Ghaant! Everyone is happy, Ganga is looking at Saagar, while the Pandit says a mantra, Saagar then turns his head towards Ganga!

The Pandit tells them to get up for their pheras! Everyone also gets up! The pandit says that he will say the vows linked with each Pehra and they must accept it with their heart! Everyone is throwing flowers at the couple, Ganga is crying!

Pundit: After today whether it's good times or bad, you will have to give each other respect and love! (Ganga looks depressed, she has a flashback of the village scene when they tied the red thread around the tree! Kaveri and Saagar finish that pehra!) And together you will make such a home that has happiness and peace! (Ganga was about to throw flower, she stops hearing this! She has a flashback of the doll house breaking! She has tears in her eyes! Saagar and Kaveri finish that Pehra, while Ganga is crying!) you will have to take an oath with this pehra that you will protect your wife forever! (Saagar has a flashback of the engagement ring coming off, and their hands getting separated!) Now the wife will come in front and the husband at the back! (everyone is happy, Ganga is crying! She has a series of flashbacks - Saagar giving her the wedding sari, the Vaada Raha scene, the scene in matheran when Ganga wears the red sari, the Sangam in the village! She forces a smile and throws the flowers!)

The Pundit then tells Saagar to put the Mangulsutra around Kaveri! Ganga looks disheartened, while everyone else is happy! The plate is put forward to Saagar, he picks up the Mangalsutra form the plate! He hold the two strings around Kaveri's neck, he looks at Ganga, who is crying, Saagar continues to stare at her, Ganga forces a smile! Saagar then lowers his eyes, and ties the mangalsutra around Kaveri's neck! Eevryone is happy and claps! The Pundit then tells Saagar to put Sindoor on Kaveri! Shanta steps forward and picks up the tin of Sindoor, she holds it towards Saagar! Saagar takes a pinch of Sindoor, he moves Kaveri's Tikka and then puts the sindoor in her Maang, Ganga looks on with tears in her eyes! Saagar stares at Ganga, after he has put the sindoor on Kaveri! Ganga again is crying and forces a smile! Saagar is staring at her, and has a flashback of when the Sindoor got washed off his hands by the rain, the night he tried to put it on Ganga! Everyone starts to clap and looks happy, Saagar then looks down!

Eevryone comes home where guests are waiting! Saagar and Kaveri come to the door, Ganga brings an Aarti and does it while everyone is happy! She then does a tikka on both of them!

Ganga: Didi, today in relations I have become your didi! (Kaveri smiles, while Saagar faintly smiles!)

Shanta: Jhanvi is absoloutely right, Kaveri! (Ganga turns back to look at Shanta!) now along with this Nanand (sister-in-law) you will also have to listen to the Jethani! (Kaveri laughs, so does Ganga, and so does Puttan!)

Puttan looks at Bua and sees her looking worried! He asks her why is she tensed, he tells her to be worriless, it is Kaveri's Greh Pravesh in a little while and after that Jhanvi's bidaai! Bua nods, Puttan continues to say that then we will rule the house! Bua nods and Puttan tells her to smiles! Bua goes yes yes and forces a smile!

Alka also comes to do Aarti, then Shanta comes and puts the copper pot in fronf of Saagar and Kaveri!

Shanta: come Kaveri, with your lucky steps bring a sea of happiness into our house!

Ganga: (thinks!) God, give them both world's happiness! May Kaveri didi and Saagar find all the joy! (She smiles!)

Eevryone is sitting down!

Shanta: Saagar give me your ring! (she puts her hand forward!)

Saagar: why didi?

Shanta: I told you didn't i, give me your ring! Even this is a custom! And before asking more questions, give me your ring!

Saagar: okay! (He takes off the ring and puts it on Shanta's hand!)

Shanta: (she smiles!) Kaveri now you both should watch carefully! In this tray is your ring, and along with the ring there are many other things! (everyone smiles!) And you have to put your hand in this and find the ring! The one who takes the ring out first will win, okay?

Shakuntala: (to RM!) you too should watch carefully, in some days you have to do all this too! (RM smiles, while everyone laughs! Saagar looks over to Ganga, who looks down!)

Gudiya: I will say 1,2,3 and you will have to start the game (Saagar looks at her and smiles!) okay? (Ganga also smiles!)

Shanta: Saagar the boy's side's honour is in your hands, that's why you will have to win! (Shubodh is surprised at this!) Come on Gudiya, lets start, okay?

Gudiya: Okay!

Shubodh: One minute! You have fulfilled your duty of being the groom's sister! (Shanta smiles!) now let me fulfil the duty of being the bride's brother! Look Kaveri, this era's wife's honour is in your hands! (Kaveri smiles!) Now find the ring, or (he syas something didn't catch it! Everyone smiles!)

Gudiya: I will start counting! 1…2…3! (Saagar and Kaveri put their hand in the tray!)

Saagar and Kaveri move their hand around in the tray, they look at each other!

Shanta: Saagar carefully! (he looks over at her!) the one who finds the ring quickly will win, and will rule on his life partner! (Saagar goes back to looking for the ring!)

Shubodh: that is wrong! (Shanta is surprised!) I will say that the one whose hands the ring is in, his love will win! (Saagar who is moving his hand while he says this, stops after what Shubodh says!)

Saagar looks shocked, he slowly lifts up a bit of his hand, on his forefinger is the ring! Ganga who is smiling sees this and is shocked! Bua sees this and is shocked! Saagar slowly turns to Ganga, while remembering what Shubodh said! He stares at Ganga! Kaveri sees the ring on Saagar's forefinger! Saagar drops the ring back in the tray! Bua is shocked, Kaveri looks at Saagar, Saagar turns his head and looks down!

Kaveri: (thinks!) to make my love victorious, you deliberately admitted defeat Saagar! (Saagar looks uncomfortable and is looking down!)

They continue to move their hands around, everyone is excited! Kaveri takes out the ring! Everyone starts to clap, Ganga smiles, Saagar also looks at her and faintly smiles!

Shubodh: Did u see, how much our sister loves Saagar! (Kaveri smiles, while Saagar looks down again looking uncomfortable!)

Ganga: (she looks at Kaveri and puts he hand on her arms!) Your love will win didi! (Kaveri looks at Saagar!)

Kaveri: Our love won Saagar! (Saagar looks at Ganga! Kaveri then puts the ring on Saagar's finger!)

Everyone claps and looks happy, Puttan looks like he is in shock!

Ganga: (thinks!) By accepting Kaveri's love, you have given me a lot of gratitude! Thanks Saagar! (Saagar is looking around, looking uncomfortable!)

Bua: (thinks!) The player has played a good game! Hai hai, but a great player is one who sits quietly and watches the game! And at the right time, slowly starts her game! (she looks over at Ganga or someone!) Ramji be kind, that's why at this time I will watch the game quietly! Lets see what happens ahead! (she is looking at Saagar, Kaveri and Ganga while saying this! She then looks at Puttan and they both pull scheming faces!)

It ends on Bua's scheming face!
