Hello.

This is my first post on the SH forum. I've been a silent member, lurking in the shadows for a while now. I've written fanfiction in a lot of the other forums; PKYEK, IPKKND, Geet, Dil Dosti Dance, MJHT, DMG and Qubool Hai.

I absolutely love to write, this is how i release emotion. There is some brilliant, brilliant writing in this forum and I'm afraid that I wont be able to match up, but this is my sincere attempt.

I ship Randhir and Sanyukta most ardently. More than I ship Vidarth, really. But I couldn't bring myself to write about them at the moment. I thought i would write about either Varya or Vidarth.

So here goes my attempt. This is an SS about Vidarth. With around 6-7 parts. I have exams and a lot of work now, so updates wont be regular.

This is my attempt at trying to express Parth and Vidushi's emotions. I've written this in less than half an hour, so feel free to point out any errors. It hasn't been beta-ed.

Lastly, read and REVIEW.

Considering this is my first post in the forum, if i don't get adequate feedback, I wont continue.

Monday

He ambled into the classroom just as the bell rang. It was another busy morning at FITE. He sighed when he realized that it was one of the few last months he would be spending here as a student. God knows what life held in store for him after that.

He acknowledged all my friends in the room and settled down. Randhir and Sanyukta were still absent, their suspension hadn't been revoked. It was strange to sit in class without listening to them bicker about something or the other. But he was very happy that they had decided to become a couple. Almost half of FITE had been routing for "Sandhir", as they were called around here.

But more than anything, Parth Kashyap was happy for Sanyukta. She was one of his best friends here and she had changed his life in more ways that he could give credit for. She was so similar to Arpita sometimes, maybe that's what drew him to her initially. But gradually, Sanyukta had won him over with her sweet smiles, her no nonsense attitude and her different approach towards life. She was his healthy dose of inspiration.

He sighed and opened his notebooks, thoughts of Sanyukta and Randhir still on his mind. He wondered if he would ever find a romance like theirs.

'Maybe you aren't letting yourself have one.' his mind whispered.

He sighed once again and this time, a few people looked up at him. He smiled at them and gave a small nod. They nodded back. After four years, he was proud of the fact that the only person he had ever had altercations with at college had been Randhir. But that didn't matter because they were good friends now. He was on great terms with almost every student at FITE and was thought to be a calm, rational person. He never got into fights, never ragged juniors, never lost his cool.

What about Vikas?' his mind whispered again.

His fists involuntarily clenched at his name. That bas***d had gotten away easily for what he'd done to Vidushi.

Vidushi.

That girl. God, he lost all his sense of self-preservation when it came to her. The calm, rational, sensitive guy that everybody knew as Parth Kashyap vanished when it came to Vidushi Kumar. With her, he was a feral beast. All the anger, all the frustration, all the hatred - he unleashed on Vidushi.

She deserves it.' He thought. She was a conniving, manipulative witch who didn't deserve any sort of compassion. He fiddled with his pen and mentally hit himself for thinking about Vidushi again.

She doesn't even deserve to be on your mind, Parth. She's only been trouble for you and your friends.' He told himself.

Without even realizing it, he looked around the room for her. His eyes skimmed across the room, spotting several of his classmates, but there was no sign of Vidushi.

Where was she?

Argh, there you go again, Parth! Thinking about her. Focus, Parth. Focus.'

All thoughts of Vidushi left his head as PKC's nasal voice filled the classroom.

Tuesday

"AAACHOO!"

Her loud sneeze echoed throughout the empty hostel corridor. She had tried to attend the first hour that morning. She had had enough rest yesterday, without attending a single lecture. She wanted to go for today's lectures at least. But barely fifteen minutes in, she felt nauseous and excused herself.

She staggered into the room and was thankful that Sanyukta wasn't there. She was probably out with Randhir, on one of their dates.

Vidushi would never admit it, but she was happy for Sanyukta. Randhir and her made an adorable couple. Also, she felt relieved that this new relationship meant that Parth and Sanyukta would never get together.

Parth Kashyap.

Vidushi groaned loudly as a fresh wave of nausea hit her system. She ran into the bathroom and got herself a wet towel for her forehead which was burning up at the speed of light.

She hated being sick.

Vidushi knew that she had no friends here at FITE. She didn't deserve any friends here. She had done nothing for anybody here for them to want to be her friend.

Most of the days, she swallowed up that feeling of utter loneliness and despair. She consoled herself, knowing that soon, she would be out of FITE and may never see these people again. She rationalized, knowing that every single bad thing that had happened to her here had been out of her own folly. But on the days on which she was sick, the loneliness ate her up. There was no one to even check up on her.

She was a bitch. A cold hearted bitch, to the rest of this college. And were they wrong? Not at all.

None of them had given her a reason to trust them, and she hadn't given anyone a reason to trust her.

Except one person, of course.

Parth was the only person in this college that she truly cared about. She cared about him more than life itself, and that thought scared her beyond belief.

It had two weeks since she had spoken to Parth. She had counted the days, unwittingly. She didn't know why she pushed herself away from him.

Because you need to have some self respect, Vidushi.' Her mind spoke to her, clear as day.

She sank into the bed and drank some water. It was true. She needed distance. The issue with Vikas and Parth's judgment had hurt her more than she had imagined. All this while, she thought that he assumed that she was a selfish, silly girl who was mooning over him.

But when she realized that he hated her enough to publicly call shots on her character, or lack of it, she was horrified.

How can you imagine yourself being with someone who doesn't respect you at all, Vidushi?'

Somewhere, she had read that if someone couldn't handle you at your worst, they shouldn't deserve you at your best.

She had reached her worst in FITE. She had done terrible, horrible things to people. But in the last two weeks, she had started cleaning up her act.

There were no grand gestures from her part. She had started off by apologizing to Sanyukta. It had taken a lot of courage, but one dark night two weeks ago, she had done it.

Sanyukta's warm smile blinded her. It made her feel so much guiltier, that Sanyukta hadn't even held a single thing against her.

On another day, she had given Randhir her notes. She knew that both Sanyukta and Randhir needed notes from the lectures that they had missed. Randhir's surprised look followed by his usual sarcastic remarks had warmed her heart. She knew that he wouldn't forgive her easily and she understood that. They were very similar in a lot of ways, Randhir and her.

But his grudging Thank you, Vidushi' made her smile even after two weeks.

She even helped Jiggy out with some Math and gave Sahil some valid input on PG Courses.

It wasn't a major change, no. But it was something.

While she was in this reformation process, a natural question rose within her. How could she make things okay with Parth?

After much deliberation and sleepless nights, she decided that the best thing to do would be to ignore him. There were exactly 11 months left for college to wrap up.

She understood that no matter what she said to Parth, how she apologized, what she did.. it wouldn't make a difference. Not to him.

She was dead to him.

Vidushi lay down and stretched.

Wasn't it strange that the one person that you love the most ends up being the one person that can destroy you most effortlessly?' she thought.

She was doing the right thing by staying away from Parth. Before she knew it, this time would fly and she would be out of college. She wanted a few months of no drama, no complications. She needed to get her grades up.

And maybe even make some friends along the way.

But how can you possibly become friends with all of them, Vidushi? They're all Parth's friends.' She thought.

One step at a time.

She sighed deeply and closed her eyes.

Life always seemed better when she was dreaming.

The next few parts will be smaller. Just letting you know. Its been around a year since I last wrote, so I'm terribly sorry about the quality of this work.

Wednesday

Parth walked into class a little later than usual and ignored PKC's jibes. He found most of the class full and settled for a seat right in the front.

He paid attention throughout the lecture, not a single wayward thought in his head.

As the lecture wrapped up, he looked around the class once again. Maybe he hadn't seen her the first time, he was in a hurry after all.

But to his surprise, she still wasn't anywhere to be seen. Now this was really strange.

Vidushi never bunked any classes. It was totally against her code. She loved the attention. She loved coming to class, all dolled up.

He shuddered when he thought about the cakes of makeup she applied on her face. How her eyes always popped out, the black kajal making them look even wider. How her cherry pink lips chewed on a ball point during lectures.

How her short skirts always-

WOAH. What are you thinking about, mister?' he pinched himself.

This was Vidushi. She was a daayan, an ugly-

Don't kid yourself, Kashyap. She may be an utter psycho at times, but she's definitely not ugly.'

"ARGH!" he exclaimed and shoved his books inside his bag. What was wrong with him? Since when did he start thinking about Vidushi's beauty?

So, hey guys. Three parts are up. I originally intended for this story to be a one shot, but it got too long.

I hope you guys are enjoying it. The parts will be small henceforth, but.

Thursday

Vidushi waved at Sanyukta and Randhir as they sneaked out once again and she settled with her books.

Her health had only marginally improved in the last few days. She was still extremely sick. The cold and fever had taken a toll on her.

She smiled when she remembered how Sanyukta had carelessly replenished her stock of Advil and D-Cold. She didn't know that they had noticed. But Sanyukta had gone out of the way to be nice to Vidushi and had even given her extra blankets for the nights.

It felt nice to be cared for, she realized. Too late that she was realizing this after three years of sheer pain at FITE.

While she filled a cup of water, she noticed that there were some notes on her bedside table. She peered at them curiously, she definitely hadn't left them out there.

She did a double take when she realized that they were a bunch of copies in Randhir's handwriting. She couldn't help but grin when she realized that the big, bad Randhir Shekhawat had given her study notes so that she could catch up.

It was amazing what a small change in attitude could do, wasn't it?

She had never felt this accepted in the longest time.

But he still hasn't checked up on you.

She struggled with that thought. Almost everybody had checked up on her, save Parth. She was sure that the others would have told him that she was sick.

But why would they? Parth never entertained any conversation about her. He hated the sight of her, the thought of her.

It was so strange. There were days when she wanted to shut the entire world out, to wallow in her self-pity, her misery. On those days, no matter who approached her, spoke to her or comforted her, she couldn't console herself. On those days, all she wanted was Parth. Only him. His mere presence, his aura, in whatever form.

But you can never have him.

"You've done good, Vidushi." She told herself. " You've stayed away for so long, you haven't sought him out. You can do this."

She could do this, right?
