IF ONLY
Sanyu n Randhir were walking together on the road,their hands almost touching eachothers'...Both of them were moist eyed by now as out-of-the-blue Randhir had told his innermost turmoil,the glimpses of his childhood n his time with mother,to Sanyu...Randhir too was unable to understand how he had opened-up his heart in front of her...He had never even dared to tell it to anyone,not even his own self!!!He was feeling lighter now as if someone has removed a big stone that was lying over his heart since ages...Sanyu was moved by knowing Randhir's childhood...She felt his anger towards women was somewhat fair as now she knew why he hated the working and ambitious ladies...
It was dark n foggy everywhere,the road was utmost silent...they couldnt see a single soul there...To cheer-up the gloomy mood,they went to a nearby Icecream shop n bought Icecreams for themselves..."Oh u opted for Mango,well yeah I should have guessed u will...Mango is such a feminish choice!!" he mocked her looking at her icecream,but this time the sarcasm was missing in his mockery!!!Sanyu lovingly made a puppyface n started licking her icecream like a school going kid!!!Randhir gazed her , amazed by her innocence n sweetness...He too felt like a lovelorn child who wanted to finish-off his icecream fast in order to ask sanyu to share her's with him!!!
When he was half finished,her's was almost over!!!Oh what to do now!!An idea clicked his mind...he tilted his icecream gradually making it fall...He turned to Sanyu n said "hey,my icecream has fallen on the ground...u gotta share urs with me now" ...She looked at him,and had a hearty laugh n then showed thumbs-down to him mocking him..."A few mins back only,u had said Mango is sucha feminish flavour...now look who wanna share hmmm??" she nudged him hard on the arm...He winced a bit in pain,but then,tight-lipped,he moved towards her...She feared what he is up to now...He came close to her,moved closer towards her face...n then very cutely removed the icecream that was sticking on Sanyu's nose...Sanyu couldnt resist gazing into his brown orbs...there was so depth in them...innocence of a child,lovesick,helpless,yet trying hard to be strong at front...she was moved by his emotions...she wanted to pull his cheeks,hug him n cuddle him like forever...She lovingly gave her Icecream to him to finish it off...
Once done with the IceCream,they again moved back towards the girls' hostel...A lot has changed between them now since he had dragged her out of the hostel around an hour backk...Yes he had dragged her out of the hostel...Actually,after he had asked her to come with him on a date today in the afternoon...n she had denied him furiously then n there,in front of the whole college...He was boiling with anger at that moment,but he didnt reacted,n moved away from there without even saying a word...Since evening he was following her as he wanted to talk to her...n she was avoiding him,in the fear that he might hurt her so as to have the revenge of her ...She even told Parth that Randhir is stalking her n she is fearing that he is upto something weird n scary...At around 11pm,(the lights of her room were off,n kaustu n vidushi were sleeping)she had seen something dark,moving in her room...before she could gather courage to shout,the dark shadow jumped towards her,n covered her face...She was lifted on his shoulders n taken out of the building...n as she protested a lot,she fell on the floor n for a few seconds was dragged to a safer place...by this time Kaustuki was awake n had seen the dark shadow dragging Sanyu...She(kaustu) called Parth n informed all what she saw to him..He came out of his hostel, went everywhere in search of Sanyu...On the other hand, Finally the dark shadow had released Sanyu n revealed itself...he was none other than Randhir..."Listen U Farzi...maine sharaafat se bola tha,Date pe chalo...but u made fun of me...So U gotta pay it back...Ab dekho ye haal ho gaya,I had to sneak into ur dormy to drag U out of it..."Sanyu was scared like hell...but she tried to stay composed...Randhir again said "Dont U worry...U know I cant harm U in any way...I just want U to be with me...Coz i dun wanna stay alone Tonight...We might not be able to go on a date today,but can u come with me n have some icecream atleast?? Plzz" Randhir had sounded as if he would break down any moment if she doesnt go with him...So she had nodded a yes n started walking with him...Gradually they had started talking casually and then slowly randhir had opened up his heart in front of her...She had never even imagined that she could have a heart-to-heart conversation with him...And his past had made her realise that every person's life has a battle to be fought over n to be won finally by them...
Anyways, as finally their walk back to hostel came to an end,out of the dark she saw a figure approaching towards them...She was scared,had any professor seen them sneaking out of her hostel..She tried to hide behind Randhir...It was still dark n out-of-nowhere ,the dark figure punched hard on Randhir's nose...n Randhir fell badly on the ground "Randhiirrr" shouted Sanyu...but the dark figure put a hand on sanyu mouth to stop her shreik..."Dont shout U fool...its me - Parth" said the dark figure...Sanyu could relate to it now..."Kaustuki might have told it to him that I M in danger "thought Sanyu...n just then as she was about to tell him that all is fine between her n Randhir,Partth moved towards Randhir n gave a even harder smack to him...Blood started gushing from randhir's forehead..Sanyu was horrified beyond imagination...She ran towards Randhir,sat down n took his head in her lap trying to cease to blood flowing from his forehead...Parth felt puzzeled...He was thinking he had helped her by saving her from Randhir...n here she was careassing randhir itself..."Whats going on sanyu???Will U explain???I thought U are in trouble because of this guy...n instead here u r tending towards his injuries" Parth spoke angrily...Randhir was in semiconcious state...he looked into her eyes,the bigg hazel orbs...they had tears in them for him...he could feel the pain for him in her eyes...but his mind couldnt deny the fact that he was being hit because of her...Breathing heavily he uttered to her "How could U do this to me Sanyukta Agarwal??I opened my heart out to U tonight...N in return of it,u rewarded me with this...This is why I always stayed away from opening-up with anyone throughtout my life,n specially girls...U proved me finally that I was right being an MCP for the girls...coz u deserved it..."
Tears started falling from her eyes..."Randhir I owe myself, the pain from U now...Coz I know,that though intentionally or not,but U have always been hurt by women in ur life...and yeah even i have hurted u a lott...I would have never been so coldhearted to U,If only,I had known that u r gem of a person...If only I had known that u have a heart of gold...If Only,I have known that U have a heart that beats for the love of ur dear ones...N If only,I had known that even my heart beats for U...Yes Mr.Shekhawat,I never even imagined I could say this to U...but now that Its true,I m falling for U" Saying this she closed her eyes n tears fell of Randhir,for now even she could feel that a huge stone that was paining her heart since the time she was in FITE,was gone now...He was stunned to the bottom-of-his-heart...Spellbound by what she had said...It took him few minutes to realise n understand what she had said...She gazed into his tearfilled eyes n smiled...n He smiled back...for finally,even though his nose was bleeding,n his head was hurt too,he could feel peace at his heart...For finally he was in the lap of someone whose heart was filled with love for him...N finally the clocked had ticked twelve - and he smiled - as it was his Bday,n he was happy that it started with him being at peace on her lap...
