Heya, Guys!! This OS is based on the scene when Randhir goes to attend his Mom's Party ! I'm writing this in a hurry and not proof-reading, so please ignore the mistakes xD
Plus, Memphis will be updated soon!! Tysm !!
I never thought that it'd be easy,
Cause we're both so distant now,
And the walls are closing in on us and we're wondering how,
No one has a solid answer,
But just walking in the dark,
And you can see the look on my face, it just tears me apart.
Randhir went inside the gate, into his house, the place he had always ran away from. Purple orchids in his hands and lines of confusion on his forehead. He reached the door fighting with the urge to run away. He took in a long breathe and extended his hand to ring the door bell. But, he froze as he saw his parents, in the drawing room, fighting yet again.
So we fight,
Through the hurt,
And we cry and cry and cry and cry,
Then we live,
And we learn,
And we try and try and try and try!
Randhir turns to leave. It was stupid of me to agree to that farzi, my family can never be an ideal one, he thought.
"Randhir?" he heard his father say. Damn, he thought.
"Randhir!" his mom exclaimed, happily. He turned slowly, always wearing a scowl to his face. Her mom ran to him and greeted him. He replied with ignorance.
Still, she smiled and took him to the hall while his father staring at them with shock.
So its up to you,
And its up to me,
that we meet in the middle, on our way back down to earth,
Down to earth, down to earth, down to earth
On our way back down to earth,
Back down to earth
"Good evening Ladies and Gentleman, I hope you are enjoying your evening. This is my son, Randhir, the reason we have gathered here. It was this date when he marked his career, when he proved that he was born for mechanical engineering. He was just 8 years old, just a child..."
Randhir didn't hear what his mother was saying. His mind got stuck on the word child. Child, Childhood ... and the memories made their way in...
"Mumma, please, I don't want to live here! This place sucks!" little Randhir cried.
"Beta, I'm doing this for your own happiness. Trust me" his mother smiled as she turned to leave a crying Randhir all alone in the hostel of that boarding school.
He cried for weeks. She would call once a week, but it would always be a quick one. His father at least visited him every sunday.
Mommy, you were always somewhere,
And Daddy, I live out of town,
So tell me how could I ever be, normal somehow?
You tell me this is for the best,
So tell me why am I in tears?
So far away and now I just need you here,
Randhir came out of his thoughts with the sound of claps, which were all for him. He smiled and thanked everyone, who came to wish him, politely.
All this time, Renuka Sanyal watched her soon with a feeling of proud and happiness.
So we fight,
Through the hurt,
And we cry and cry and cry and cry,
And we live,
And we learn,
And we try and try and try and try
So its up to you,
And its up to me,
that we meet in the middle, on our way back down to earth,
Down to earth
After a while, everyone went to the place where dinner was organised. Randhir went there, too, confused of what he should do now. He took a plate and served himself food, then went to a deserted corner, wanting to be left alone.
Renuka saw Randhir standing alone and went to him.
"Thanks, beta. I'm glad you came" she smiled.
"I didn't do it for you. I wanted to meet dad, that's why I came. Not for you" He tried to lie but failed to fool her. She kept on smiling. Randhir rolled his eyes and hunted for another deserted corner.
I felt so far away,
From where we used to be,
And now we're standing,
And where do we go,
when there's is no road
to get to your heart?
Lets start over again!
Soon, the party was over and everyone started leaving. Randhir came to Renuka to inform her that he was leaving, too. She smiled and hugged him.
"I know you didn't come for me. But, still, thanks"
So it's up to you,
And it's up to me,
that we meet in the middle, on our way back down to earth,
Down to earth,
Down to earth,
On our way back down to earth,
"Yeah, whatever" Randhir replied and awkwardly got out from the hug. Then, he left without even saying a bye.
Renuka watched his son's back, as he went towards the door, smiling. Maybe, just maybe their relation can again be uncomplicated.
I never thought that it'd be easy,
Cause we're both so distant now,
And the walls are closing in on us and we're wondering how?
So how was it? Yeah, I agree, it sucked 🤣
Not sending any Pms for this one as I'm disappointed with myself.
Still, waiting for your reviews xP
Btw, Down To Earth is a song sung and written by Justin Bieber when he was twelve. It was dedicated to his parents who are divorced.
The lyrics of the same song were used in this OS (in italics)
Thanks for reading !!
