but you are asked that question when you are all alone so why would the heart rate and bp increase? it wasnt asked to u in front of everyone so chances are very less that you would feel nervous to give the correct answer..and even if you are nervous, i think the machine should be able to differentiate between pulses of nervousness/tension and lies...because i would feel nervous all the way and confused too sometimes..even if im saying the truth, i could feel nervous because of the fear of admittance

But the main point is when Rajeev asked a simple question that time they cant give it .. But others difficult embarrassing question they are giving. .. . Why? Usally when you have to give any embarrassing controversial question that time you will be tensed that time heart beat bp will increase..

Polygraph machines are not fool proof. They can go wrong because they record increase in heart beat or pulse rate which can go up even if you are telling the truth. In this case, it could have been that the guy could have been tempted to have an affair but not actually had it. So when he was first asked about it, his heart beat could have gone up. The second time when the same question was asked before the camera, he could more confidently say no which seemed to be the truth but since the polygraph machine had recorded the increase in his heart beat when he was asked the question earlier, I guess it concluded he was lying.

Personally, I think he was lying. Yes, the polygraph can be beaten, but it's not so easy to do it. They caught him on this one.

actually the aswer given was not with that much confidence. People usually get nervous in such situations So that may be th reason why the mmachine stated the result is false since it considers blood pressure heart beat feel.
