Mumbai, July 18: Reality shows and controversies have now become synonymous with each other. After "Rakhi ka Swayamwar", recently launched reality show "Sach ka Samna" telecasted on star plus is creating headlines these days.
People who have watched the show are now saying that this type of reality show is not made for country like India. "It may finally break the family bonding and relationships," they said.
Not meant for Indians
"Sach ka Samna" which was launched on Star Plus on July 15, is the Hindi version of much acclaimed international show "Moment of the truth".
According to Banita, housewife from Mumbai, "such reality shows may suit the western culture, but will prove to be disaster for Indian culture."
In the show, contestants have to speak nothing but the truth to survive through each level. They have to answer 50 questions which are generally very personal and a lie detector tells whether a contestant is lying or not.
Contestents verdict
Smita Matai, first contestant of the show, has experienced a very embarrassing situation while playing the game.
Rajeev Khandelwal, host of the show, asked her at the end of the show, if she wanted to have an affair with another man without her husband's knowledge, to which she certainly said "no".
But shockingly, the polygraph machine termed his answer as "false". It was very embarrassing for her, her family members and importantly for her husband. Smita kept claiming that it is not true.
A software engineer Ankit thinks that all such shows are only for publicity. "People come here for publicity and money. They don't even know how this TV show will impact their future relationship."
"Sach ka Samna" is produced by Siddharth Basu's Big Synergy and is hosted by television actor, Rajeev Khandelwal.
