a guy says one more woman will also die today because of kuku. kuku has flashbacks of people protesting against the factory and meeting shalini. bebo says they will all die from killing an innocent man. the people say they will get revenge for their devi. bebo says not to come near, kuku is innocent. the guy is about to hit bebo with a stick. kuku catches the stick and warns them not to come near his daughter. police jeep comes. the people run away. police ask what is wrong. kuku says some people threatened to kill them. police leaves. kuku tells bebo that she is his life. the song chand agar tho plays. flashbacks are shown. kuku and bebo hug. all cry. they walk. bebo asks kuku why everyone is blaming him for shalini's death. kuku says he has not been able to figure it out. kuku says he first met shalini when she stopped his way.
[*flashback. kuku's car stops because of people protesting the factory with shalini. shalini introduces herself and says she fights for the rights of poor people, for this village. kuku says he does not know any of them. they get into the car. shalini says but his gangapur factory knows them, the machines are old and dangerous now, dangerous fumes made the villagers sick, one died, she wants him to close the factory of move it. kuku says how can he not know this, his son daljit handles the factory. kuku calls daljit but cant reach him. kuku says he will look into it, he will go out for 2 weeks and fix everything. shalini says she hoped for this. shalini gets a phone call and says she is coming home. shalini tells kuku that today is her wedding anniversary. kuku wishes her. shalini tells kuku to come to the party. kuku says she is doing all this on her anniversary. shalini says salaam zindagi is her life.
at the party, shalini introduces kuku to arjun. kuku says he didnt know she lives in such a big home. shalini says arjun runs khanna contruction.
kuku tells daljit on the phone he told him to close the gangapur factory. daljit says there was a big order. kuku says the fumes are killing the villagers, he is coming now. daljit says he spoke to them, bebo is coming. kuku says they will go to the factory after meeting bebo. kuku gets a call from shalini asking to meet her near the factory within 1 hour. kuku says bebo is coming home, they can meet later. shalini says her life is in danger. kuku says he is coming. he comes to the place. he goes to the red car and opens it. shalini falls out of the car, dead and bloody. kuku runs off. he drops his wallet. kuku drives off. the villagers come and cry and mourn and say they wont leave the killer. they find kuku's wallet and say that kuku killed shalini.
kuku gets a phone call saying that bebo and amrit died in a car accident. kuku cries and holds his head.*]
in the present, kuku says he broke down hearing the news, after that he does not remember anything, he felt for a few days that his child is with him, but he did not kill shalini, shalini died near the factory, maybe because of him. bebo says shalini has been killed, they have to find the real killer and prove him(kuku) innocent.
