When the adult Vidya was first introduced, I did not give her a second thought, but nowadays she is looking really pretty and her acting has improved too. She reminds me a little bit of Giaa back when she was Gopi: fresh, innocent and heartwarming! 😊 She has such a sweet voice and I like how her character is shaping up. I hope this track ends with a loving reunion between both sisters.
I feel like Vidya is getting a lot of unnecessary flak by viewers. So what if she's a "good" character? After all the horrible villains in the show and so much negativity in all the tracks, a bit of goodness is refreshing. I find nothing great about characters who are selfish, hate their family members, and join hands with people who want to harm their family. Those type of characters are not "gray". They are pure evil and don't deserve any sympathy.
People can learn a lot from Vidya's character. Even though she is surrounded by people who want to harm her (including her own sister!), she is still strong and confident in her values and the goal with which she returned to her in-laws. People are saying she is just like Gopi, but she is actually a lot stronger. Gopi has always forgiven Ahem his wrongdoings, but Vidya has not forgiven Shravan. She has not come back to the Suryavanshis as his wife, but to protect her sister and bring her back home. I am not saying I want Vidya and Shravan to separate, but Vidya should accept him back only when Shravan stands up to her and protects her against Gaura, Meera and Dharam.
