Agree it's not all devoleenas fault and I even said it's not all sonams fault either (you must have seen my post on that in the Dheera AT πŸ˜†).

Devo & Giaa has got their own charm. In fact I also doubt if Giaa could have done the same job like Devoleena.

I foumd Giaa timid & diplomatic most of the times. Sonam is at least getting some roles to play now. Earlier, she was sidelined. Meera was more prominent.

@ xPalkix,

Returned home now, so responding to your posts in order. 😊

Lol, sorry if you feel naked and invaded now. Actually, the reason I read the posts in Dheera AT are, because you guys seem to be up to date on all the spoilers of SNS, before the rest of the forum knows about it. πŸ˜† I come there for the spoilers, and happen to read other posts too. Anyway, it's not my intention to make you feel invaded, but to be fair, it is a public thread, and threads are generally viewed by a lot of people, not all who are members there.

Also, I have experience in organizing and maintaining ATs, which is why I know the rules regarding it. An AT is a special thread just for the couple or person it is created for, so it's inappropriate to comment on other characters there. I agree, when other characters are related to Dheera for a specific scene or sequence, then it's fine, but otherwise, it's not allowed for people to posts comments on how they hate Vidya or Vivaan, and can't stand seeing them have so much screen space. If anyone needs to vent their frustration with the current tracks, then it's better to create another thread for it, then to flood Dheera AT with such comments. As long as you guys discuss Dheera there, there's no problem.

No, you're not one of the judgmental Dheera shippers. There are other people who are very judgmental and I think you know who they are, so not gonna list names here. πŸ˜‰

There is a difference between liking a character and glorifying their actions. For example, let's take Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. I love him as a character but cannot justify his actions towards Jane and Bingley when he separated them. You know what I mean? Likewise, no one is judging you for liking Dheera, but liking Dheera doesn't mean you or anyone else needs to glorify their actions. Like, it's understandable if you like Dharam, but you don't like how he treats Meera at times right, like when he manhandles her? That's what I'm talking about. I have no issues when people say they ship Dheera, but it's when they start glorifying or justifying their negative actions that it starts bothering me. When we like someone, we should also be cognizant of their faults. No one is perfect, so there's no reason to justify the actions of those we like, whether it's on TV or real life.

And OMG, I so agree with you! Kokila used to be an amazing character in the beginning. I loved how she answered back to Rashi's meanness towards Gopi, but then she became more cruel as the show progressed, both towards Rashi and Gopi. She treated Rashi as if she were a servant, and she treated Gopi well only as long as she listened to her. The moment Gopi started to have a voice, Kokila ill-treated her too.

I think I replied to all your points. Is there anything I forgot?

Fair enough. I'll take it as a compliment then. Would get more spoilers but Amar is missing in action ATM so not bothering. Nikki does a good job anyway.
I know it's a public thread and it's fine everyone is welcome πŸ€— Just felt a little protective before πŸ˜† And I also object to that rule of not mentioning other characters. The AT is part of this forum and obviously we will discuss the plot or characters.
Oh okay, I got it! I will try my best to prevent hatred comments but most of the time, it is related to Dheera so can't do much about that I'm afraid.
@Bold Yes I do but the distinction between us is that you take these show more seriously. Take Damon from The Vampire Diaries for example, he is supposed to be the villain of the show and the bad brother with no morals. However, I shipped him with Elena (the main character who is always right) despite this because I don't care. I was right anyway, Damon wasn't bad, he was just on the wrong path and Elena led him to the right one. I bet you would support the good guy in this show πŸ˜†This is what I think will happen to Dheera ultimately.
If I feel good chemistry then I'll ship the couple. Doesn't mean I would ship just about anything though.
@Italics i don't think I have justified Dharam's actions. I have said that even I don't like the manhandling and aggressive behaviour. However, I do think Dharam will redeem himself and Meera is the medicine to his anger. I also have a problem with Meera disrespecting Dharam because he is not as educated or modern and even she has manhandled him when she grabbed his arm and told him to go away. That's the problem I had when people were giving reasons for why Dharam isn't suitable for Meera. But no one mentioned Meera's mistake. I just think both are as bad as each other and thats something which hasn't been explored in Indian shows. It's exciting to watch their relationship develop for this reason!

I have justified Dheera when people at the age difference or the FIL point. I don't think those reasons are valid for Dheera. Age shouldn't matter. And even I don't like the FIL dynamic but hey, I can't change the plot. Also, I have a doubt about Durga. Anyways, at least they're not blood related. Now if Dharam or Meera end up ruining this relationship by beating each other up or something like that then of course I wouldn't support such an abusive relationship. That would be glorifying their actions because that's something they can control.

Lol I loved Rashi and Kokila's interactions.

I think Gia was perfect for the old and original Gopi. But Devoleens is perfect for now - however annoying the current Gopi is to me - because I can't see Gia play a mother at all. With Gia, there is no way Meera and Vidya would look like her kids. She's got a young, baby face.
I think Gia would've been able to pull the acting part off though but I prefer the way she delivers her dialogues.
Sonam is also doing a good job this week, it feels like Vidya. Last week the acting was totally different though. Meera is still prominent I feel but Vidya also has a role now.

The CV's would have continued with Giaa if she had not left the show. Rucha left the show but no replacement for Rashi Sr.

They could do without Rashi but they cannot do without Gopi.

Vidya is getting some roles & she is doing a good job & has a scope to do better.

But let's face it, every forum has those topics which brings about such arguments, let's be glad this forum is normal πŸ˜† I love jumping into arguments as well lol
I love lots and lots of books like P&P, mostly because of my English teacher in Secondary school who only picked books of this genre. Wanted to continue English Literature in college as well but diverted to the Legal side πŸ˜† Nope didn't watch the BBC miniseries which is strange cus I love to watch period dramas. I did watch the film with Keira Knightley though.

Yeah that's an accurate depiction of the characters. Mary is also like Vidya, she's reserved but not stupid. Meera is like the twin sister who got married to Wickham not knowing his intentions πŸ˜†
@bold: In P & P, I see that it was Lydia who married Wickham. But their marriage has flopped as the couple lacked morals. Radha made a similar mistake as Meera. Both married a man who is already married.

Radha was about to marry her own sister's husband whereas Meera married her own sister's FIL.

So both played Lydia's role.πŸ˜†

Note: For all Dheera fans, I request you not to take it personally. It is a fact as per this show.

I was waiting for someone to pick on this example πŸ˜†
Lydia and Wickhams marriage never flopped, the story didn't show what happened later on in their lives. Those times, Wickham was not the right guy for Lydia but they still let her marry him to save the family's honour and reputation. Here the case is opposite lol
Btw all the couples on this show have married with ulterior purpose in their minds. - Referring to the same @Bold (I honestly have said this numerous times).
Gopi married Ahem not knowing his intentions. She did not know he was against the marriage.
Jigar married Rashi, unaware that she wanted to utilise his name and money.
Dhawal married Kinjal to save her 'honour'. They didn't have any other reason but nonetheless, their marriage was forced.
Vidya married Shravan, not knowing that he had gambled her future.
And finally, Meera married Dharam, not knowing he wants revenge.
But like the rest on the list, the last two will end up together as well πŸ˜‰

And for now, I know Durga seems legit but I really really doubt her. Not even trying to take the sister's FIL tag off of Dharam but it's weird how Dharam doesn't treat her like a wife. Why does Meera get to share a room with him when they're actually faking this marriage and why not Durga?
Why was she chucked out for ten years? Why didn't the ladies in the ceremony complain about Dharam having two wives? They mentioned that "no wonder his first wife left him." But didn't point at the most relevant thing πŸ˜•
So many more questions and it's all so fussy. I think everything is fishy ATM
Though, as long as Dheera stay together, I can digest Durga as well if I have to.
