If people feel that Meera is better looking than Vidya, it is because apart from their complexion it is the way they are dressed. From the beginning after the leap, Vidya was shown in simple clothes and simple hairdo. Meera is wearing more glamorous clothes and trendier hairstyles. Apart from the looks it is the way they are presented which makes the difference. Even now Vidya is more simple and docile as compared to trendy Meera. Had Vidya been presented as trendy as Meera, there wouldn't have been much difference in their looks.

Before starting my rant I just wanted to say that I agree 100% with this post! Couldn't express my feelings better about the comparison between Vidya and Meera! Honestly this is just sad! This is very sad seeing so many people comparing Vidya to Meera or Sonam to Tanya.They always compliment Meera and insult Vidya.I don't have anything against the actress Tanya,she's very sweet,but her character Meera annoys the crap out of me.I hate her character to the core.She always acts full of herself and assumes that no one is better than her.She has said so many hurtful things to her family and even went so far as to,even though,accidentally, push her own mother off the window and almost kill her.Did she ever apolozige after that? No! Meera has never ever apoloziged to Gopi for pushing her off the window nearly killing her. One cannot have this much hatred for their parent or loved one as to want them to die.A scene I truly loved Meera in was when she rescued Gopi from the flaming garage.But in all the other scenes,she just angered me so much.She could do anything to hurt Gopi.Now,as for Vidya,she has always been my favorite character after the leap.She is NOT like Gopi.She is not trying to be mahaan either.She is just trying to bring her spoiled sister on the right path.Vidya wishes only the best for her family and I think one should love and support the person who wants only good for her loved ones and wants to achieve her goal without harming anyone rather than loving and supporting a person who could go to any extent in order to hurt and take revenge of her own family.And seriously?! Now people are judging Vidya's looks?! Excuse me but that is none of their bussiness! It doesn't matter if they THINK Vidya is dark and ugly, what matters is what a beautiful and confident soul she has.And Vidya is not ugly for heaven's sake! Her soul is much more beautiful than Meera's.Even though I know Meera deep down has a good heart,she has done many such bad deeds which are just horrible! Now as for Rashi, she is a completely different person than Meera. Meera is even more selfish and spoiled than her.Rashi is nothing compared to Meera's ego.Vidya is not like Gopi either.She knows what to do and always does the right thing.She has confidence in herself, unlike Gopi who always tries to be mahaan in SOME situations,not all.Please understand that there is a difference between being confident and being mahaan! Vidya is so heartwarming,sweet,and confident.I don't know why so many people hate her for no reason! I for one can't stand Meera and I have a reason to! Actually many more reasons which I stated earlier in my comment.You asked people to give a reason as to why they hate people,so they gave the most shameless reason : That she's dark and ugly.Seriously?! First off,she's very pretty.There is no ugly feature in her.And then their other reason was that she is boring and trying to be mahaan like Gopi.That's not true at all because she is different from Gopi! While she may have many features of Gopi she has a hidden spark of freshness,sweetness,and confidence.Anyways,I'm glad someone finally agrees with me! It's so unfair to see Vidya get all this hate.This is why I haven't even bothered to check the forum in the last few weeks.All I saw was comments on how Meera is so much more beautiful,Dheera is such a better couple, and a ton of mean stuff against Vidya and Shravan. So I decided I would just take a break.But thanks for finally writing up a post about this! I was outraged hearing all this bad stuff against sweet Vidya and all good stuff about spoiled Meera! It seems to me society has started to justify bad people more than good people just because of looks and more entertainment.Which is very unfair! Again,I was super dissapointed! Meera is supposed to be any and negative. Vidya isn't supposed to be. But she comes across like that.

yeah she is. That's her character. Vidya isn't supposed to be smug. That's how she comes across to me and others. That's why despite her supposed to be a character who invokes sympathy she comes across as smug.

Tanya is much more beautiful than Sonam which is God's blessing.But Vidya is not ugly either.Meera is cute,sweet,beautiful n glamorous while Vidya is cute and innocent.Both have their own type of beauty.I think Meera is getting praised more and Vidya not getting appreciated only bcz of Tanya's acting.Tanya is a better actress than Sonam.But Sonam isnt a bad actress.She is improving.Dharam Meera getting more admiration than Shravan Vidya is bcz Amar Tanya are better actors,not bcz Shravan Vidya r boring.Even though rashi was -ve in the beginning n Gopi was a saint both Rashi n Gopi got admiration from the viewers bcz both Rucha and Gia were excellent actors.
The actor who plays Shravan n Sonam r nit bad actors,they r new comers.Within some time they will also become very good actors
