Saath Nibhana Saathiya 21st April 2015 - Written Update

The show begins with Ahem taking out the Sindhoor - red powder used to symbolize marriage / married status of women - and putting on to his palm. Ahem kneels down and draws a line, by sprinkling the red sindhoor between him and Gopi, who is standing.

Ahem then says when people look on them, Ahem and Gopi couple, as Ram and Seetha couple, then there has to be a Lakshmana Rekha - Means Line Of Brother Lakshmana.

Ahem with folded hands tells Gopi not to cross the line ; it's his request and challenge. Asks Gopi to keep away from his mother and family. Ahem says Gopi is his past, ex-wife.

Kokila requests Ahem not to do so, Gopi is his wife, and forever remain so. Hereabouts Meera tries to say something - telling Kokila not to pressurize Ahem and Ahem warns her not to speak in between and let him speak.

Ahem asks Kokila to rest and turns to go ; Gopi stops him and begins her sermon :- that the sindhoor line might be of no importance but for Gopi it is her life line. By putting the sindhoor on the ground, Gopi further says that Ahem has insulted himself, for the sindhoor it is a women's way of protecting her husband and ensuring his long life. Ahem should not have done so. Well much more is said, point is that Gopi scored much more brownie points.

Gopi tells her relationships are many, but her relationship with her mother in law is great, strong and special. It cannot be broken so easily and Kokila had taught Gopi the nuances of life. No one can separate them.

Again Meera breaks in and Gopi says that Meera should stay quiet, at least listen to her father's advice. Manasi tries to say something in defense of Meera, the talk of upbringing comes, then Manasi says Meera is her daughter, Gopi says, Manasi is not a family member, nor she gave birth to Meera, and did she ever bring up Meera in a right manner. While the talk was heating up, Kokila stops Gopi.

Ahem then emotionally gets Kokila to consent to accompany him to Bombay. Ahem says that he wants Kokila by his side always, that he wants Kokila to feed him ; etc., etc. then he slips in the desire that she keeps her promise to accompany to Bombay. She says yes, just as Gopi shouts no. Kokila is aghast.

Later Kokila says she would keep her promise, to Ahem.

Little Raashi is sad that no one cares for her, now Granny too is leaving. Jigar comforts Raashi.

Kokila is caught between the hard rock and the sea ; she cannot break her promise to Ahem nor can she leave her family. Kokila is in deep thought.

And
