The episode opens with Gopi making a sarcastic comment to Jigar about him being called Kaka by Rashi. Kokila tells Rashi that it is almost time for the ice cream vendor to come. She gives her some rupees. Jigar says that he will go with her too. They leave.
Gopi pours her heart out to Kokila about Ahem missing and the girls and wonder where to start looking for them. She goes over the same dialogue as previously about how the only thing that kept her going for ten years was that of her family but says she can't go on. She tells Kokila that she never let life's troubles get to her but not she is bereft. Kokila consoles her and encourages her not to give up. By this time Jigar arrives and hears to conversation. He comes to Gopi and asks to be given a chance.
Gopi is still angry and asks him why he wants a chance now. What had he been doing all this time? She lays on some more accusations at him and he is in tears. Kokila tells Gopi that she is unable to help her with the search for Ahem and she should take Jigar's help. Gopi is immovable. Kokila also explains to Gopi that there was nothing that Jigar could have done, that Ahem had not just broken off all relations with her but with the whole family. She further explains how Jigar stepped into Ahem's shoes and kept things together. That without him there would be no Modi Bhavan and no family. She also cites a religious narrative about Ram Laxsman and asks Gopi to forgive him. She tells her that although Paridi had refused to tKe Rashi in Jigar had always fulfilled the role of a father, albeit in the guise of an Uncle. Rashi was nearby and saw Gopi crying but did not hear what was said.
Rashi runs down the stairs of the chawl as Papu rides up. She asks him to help her in finding 'Bade Papa' she says that Maa is crying too much and can't bear to see her like this. Upstairs Jigar tells Gopi that Ahem's bank account is still active. At this she is revitalised and runs to see the bank manager. She stops at the door, turns and refers to Jigar as 'Devarji' and asks if he will help her. Jigar is happy to be forgiven. He smiles and goes to touch her feet. She hugs him.
Tolu Molu are playing squash/racquetball. Papu arrives there and gets some ribbing from them. Rashi enters the court and after a little more ribbing she stops their game and tells them the problem. They muse and discuss for a while and mention that when they tried to find Ahem before, that Jigar stopped them. Rashi then tells them that Jigar is helping Gopi too and they are happy and encouraged to help.
At MB Hetal, Paridi and Kinjal are seated. Paridi is crying and explains to Hetal how she could not keep Rashi due to her shock and disappointment of Gopi being sent to jail. Hetal reassures her and says that Gopi has every right to be angry and that she not only scolded her but the whole family too. She then tells kinjal that Gopi did not say anything wrong and that had she, ie kinjal been in the same situation she would have done the same.
Kinjal gets up and heads for her room. As she goes upstairs she muses of what would happen to her, that she would have to leave this life and go back to Dhawal. She confirms that there is no way that Ahem will come back and that Gopi will not find him.
Gopi and Jigar are meeting with the bank manager. Despite their pleading he tells them that he cannot give out a customer's details, at any cost.
Pre cap. Jigar and Gopi are back in MB, returning empty handed. Hetal is consoling Gopi. Tolu Molu arrive and say they have something. The hand over a slip of paper to Gopi. It has Ahem's address.
