The scene opens with Paridi getting ready and deciding which saree to wear. Jigar arrives and gifts her a new outfit, a little black dress. They share a few romantic moment and then Paridi sends Jigar to get ready. Paridi is ecstatic.
Urmila is skulking around the chawl with muttley. She also has a rat in a cage, which she releases in a neighbour's house and then informs said neighbour of the mouse and that Muttley can catch it.
Muttley does the dutiful and catches the mouse. Urmila then charges the neighbour Rs500 for Muttley's work. The neighbour pays up grudgingly. Urmila is happy and tells the dog that this is how he is going to earn his keep. Pappoo sees her gloating and realises what she is up to.
Gopi is in her room and Ahem comes wanting to tell her something but she is engrossed in Vidya's book and is not paying him any attention. He tries once again and is interrupted by Paridi barging in. He leaves. Paridi asks Gopi if she looks good in the dress. Black dress, above the knee. Gopi teases her and eventually says that she looks good. Jigar also barges in with a jacket to ask Gopi if he should wear it. Paridi and Jigar have an eye lock. Radha is skulking and makes a phone call. Gopi breaks Paridi and Jigar's moment and sends them to get ready. She remembers that Ahem wanted to tell her something and goes looking for him.
In the communal area Gopi sees Ahem but is interrupted on her way by Hetal who asks her if the children are ok and whether they have eaten. Gopi affirms that they have. Kokila then interrupts bu asking Gopi where Jigar and Paridi are.
They are both coming down the stairs. The family stare. Ahem is narked. A little jealous are we? Well you should have thought about such things before you blasted Gopi last time. Paridi is a little self-conscious with her outfit and seeks to justify herself but Kokila tells her, gives her a mini lecture and then tells her that she looks good. Madam Cupid joins their hands and sends them on their way. (Why does this woman see the romance in other couples? But then again I can't blame her. Most of the time she is the maid, keeper, peacemaker and scapegoat) They leave.
Paridi is waiting outside. A pair of hands come behind her and blacken her face. They shout slogans and throw tomatoes at Jigar's car and at him. The family hear the commotion and come out. They see Paridi and are shocked. Kokila warns the woman. Savita comes out and asks what is going on. Kokila explains. Radha fires up the women against Paridi and adds more fire and says that Kokila is involved too and that they should blacken her face also. Kokila forcefully stops them and tells them off for hearing one side of the story and come running. Radha says that she is a sweet and innocent woman, who does not know that way of trapping men with revealing clothes like Paridi does. Gopi tells her off. Radha that you cannot hide the truth. She says that this woman is disgusting, that she lured Jigar by wearing such short and shameless clothes. That she married Jigar and is pregnant with Jigar's child. Kokila again warns her saying that Paridi is the daughter in law of the Modis and that a person's character is not judged by their clothes but by their character. Gopi also tells Radha to watch it. She says that if she wanted to she would reveal to all how Radha got pregnant in the first place and re iterates what Kokila said about clothes and character. Gopi tells the women off for listening to Radha's words and blackening Paridi's face. She warns Radha that this is her last chance, next time by god's grace she will not leave her. Radha tells the woman that her own sister is with these people. The women again spring to Radha's defence. Kokila says that if they care so much for Radha then they should take her because she is throwing Radha out of the house this minute. The women are silent, Radha is wide eyed and thinking of what to do next. Kokila tells them to go. She tells Radha that if she wants to stay in the house then these women should go. Radha sends them away, leaving them disgusted. They leave. Savita is happy with the outcome and leaves too.
Kokila tells Radha that this is her last night in the house. Tomorrow she will be thrown out. Kokila gathers the family to go indoors leaving Radha to follow.
Urmila and Kinjal are arguing about Muttley's expenses. They are still arguing when Dhawal arrives and tells them both to stop. (Something is going on here)
Paridi is in the room removing the black muck. Jigar consoles her. She goes to change but he stops her and tells her that she looked pretty. She cries and says that she will not wear short dresses anymore. He tells her she can and not to cry. They hug, romantic moments yadha, yadha, yadha.
Pre cap. Paridi is in the police station with Vivan, Kokila and Radha. She tells Vivan that she will testify that although he kidnapped her it was Radha who tried to kill her. She implores him to tell the police.
