Mine is English, but, I can speak Hindi/Urdu, Punjabi and Tamil at varying degrees, can read Hindi, Punjabi and Tamil. Also I can read Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali and Gujarati and know a few words from those. I also can read Sanskrit and understand many Sanskrit words.

Enakku niraiya bhaashaigalai theriyum (I know many languages). 😊

My first language is also English. I can also read, write & speak in Hindi & Kannada. I can understand and speak Gujrathi to an extent. I can speak in Urdu. I can read & write Marathi. I can only speak Tamil.😊

That is cool! Hopefully someday, you will learn to read Tamil! 😉 I can read Urdu a little bit, but not so well. It is difficult to read due to the letters seemingly overlapping on each other and infrequent use of matras which would otherwise made it easy to read. 😕

Actually, it is not a big deal. The basic books are available in which you can learn the alphabets looking at english letters. 30 days books are available.😊

You will learn Hindi faster when you watch Hindi movies & serials. You can also refer to the Hindi-English dictionary for unfamiliar words.😊
