"servants" are also people. and when things can be done by oneself. it is better that it is done by household members. what is the issue in that? For example it is easier to cook one's own food . Get Meethi to help when required. Get Meethi to clean and dust. when required.
what high class low class? There is no class out there. everybody is human. If you find it hard to do some stuff at home get outside help. Be kind and pay them well. that is it.
there is nothing wrong in bahus working for the household. But the "biggies" should pitch in too when needed. and let them sit with everybody and have food.
and going to parlor should not be a big issue. wasting away money on five star food is too much expense if done too often.
having said all that I feel koki baby has her way in everything. right from the time she married off Gopi to Ahem and watched Gopi suffer while not being able to do anything about it.
Rashi in "moderation" is good. Rashi coupled with her mother is not good. some people are like that. with bad people they become bad.
making Gopi do all the work was something Rashi always did. Gopi did not mind. That is something elders should have made clear to them both. to share the work and not take advantage of one another.
Koki baby picks on Rashi too much---- has always picked on her. While not letting Rashi take advantage is one thing. Picking on her is another.
Koki baby is nasty to her own daughter too. Letting Kinjal rot in Urmila behns house Urmila who is not even her saasu maa.
Does nothing to help her own daughter. Koki is like that hard on others and harder on herself.
Something to do with her mindset. her issues as a human being because of her skin color (I once saw an episode where she talks to her mother. ) and paraag being not very successful in life.
One cannot change lifestyles so easily. Modi bhavan is what it is.
It is like Gopi how never went to school and Rashi is college educated. even when they lived in the same house.
Urmila behn is cunning and Koki baby is what she is.
If one is smart one can get by in Modi bhavan. Do your stuff at home and have fun outside every once in a while Come and share your experiences to household members. Tell Koki everything just like you would to your own mother. Just see how she opens up to you. Going out with friends is not a bad thing. Spending too much money is a bad thing. that too after telling lies.
I only find it weird that they have no bars on the windows in Modi bhavan. It is so easy to get in and get out for any thief.
Even for Urmila behn to climb the pipe.
Also Koki being mean to Gopi when Meera got drowned. that was really nasty. Gopi is a member of the house. She cannot get thrown out of the house for such things. One cannot take away her rights. I felt disgusted. Still do. Being the bahu that Gopi is and the sincerity that she has she gets thrown out at one go. Radha does sabotage. But if one is smart one can find out the person that Radha is. Rather than doing all this detective work now they should have realised it earlier.
Koki baby lives according to her whims and fancies. even when she is not the elder daughter in law. She makes rules she bosses over makes decisions etc etc.
Even her husband does not interfere. Nor does grandma. For a lady to be this bossy that too in Modi bhavan that is really contradictory. I would not say Koki baby is very "principled" she is biased heavily at times.
