Ahem and love: was it a game?

This was all a mind game! His every move was measured and weighted through the eyes of all the onlookers.

The players were all the important women in his life or heart - Baa, he has respect for, his mother, whom he won't say no to, and Gopi whom he silently pines for.

He thought silence was the best thing to do until he needed his red file.

If he had the file in hand he would have been relishing his few moments having eaten Gopi's food in the quiet of his office / bedroom.

But is wasn't to be so ...

His words were harsh and very hurtful but Gopi sincerely pleaded for her innocence. He knew it would hurt the most when he spoke of divorce. That lone tear of Gopi's did break him inside but he had to continue with his torment because by then this had all turned out to be a spectacle.

Why continue in this manner? To drive his message home that he cannot live without Gopi, even though he said the opposite.

The subtext here was this was a battle of the wills between mother and son.

The baffling thing was Kokila's silent acceptance of knowing that lunch was cooked by Gopi, but when Ahem questioned this she had to take the lead in questioning Gopi, and the actions of Ahem who knew just where Gopi kept her bag.

What started out as a mind game has the potential to go belly up or stalemate, leaving Gopi more troubled and Ahem more frustrated.

So was this all a game?

Who knows Swasthi. But I've gone so far down the line that I now just want Gopi to high tail it out of mm and keep her self respect. I don't like Baa's conditions and Ahem appears too much of a puppet.

If it is a game, it is cruel and the person who suffers the most is Gopi. It may be a battle of wills between Kokila and Ahem but he has no right to make Gopi a pawn in that game.

For now, I think Gopi has been humiliated enough. Her lone tear is all that was left from hours of crying. I hope this is the last tear she will shed.. Those who want to play with wills can shed the rest

At this point I want the match to be called. There are no winners in this game. He just turns more caustic with each passing day and she has suffered so much that the only way she can save herself and child is to leave MM for good.

No doubt, a change of focus of a new entry who has designs towards Gopi is the way forward to bringing Ahem instantly on track and removing his puppet strings, but this will be just too easy.

Being the pawn in people's games has always been the fashion for Gopi, but after 8 years to get back into this would surely have awaken herself to realise that there is more here than that is actually there.

Hey there.

Hetal looks to be driving some sense into him in the precap, but it is too soon to say.

@ bold - she will not leave willingly without Vidya this time round.
