Hi Everyone. Its my turn for the DOTW again and it is late this time😳 Net connection probs around where I am right now

First, a big šŸ‘ for the entire SNS cast and crew for completing 800 episodes.. A great job done😃

Back to the DOTW...

Rashi has been very vocal about not being able to adjust to living in RN which has been her home for almost 20 years.
However Gopi did not blink twice before going back to her routine around the house.

Ahem, Jigar and the other Modis have not complained once and have slowly started working around the disadvantages in RN.

Even when the two girls got married, Gopi seemed to acclimatise herself to her new home in MM compared to Rashi

My questions are this..

What makes a house into a home?
Is it so hard being without a few luxuries for a few days?
How do we forget 20 years of existence in a matter of seconds?

Is Rashi correct in wanting every luxury?

The stage is all yours😃

Nice topic Hariniāļø

For me I am like Gopi if i were to live at another house.. I will get used to the house and the why things are in that particular living environment.. The same would be for India.. In the house where we live in India some of the luxurys we are used to here in Australia won't be able to get there in India.. When India I get use to the ways of life there and when i come back things will go back normal.

Rashi I think is not correct in wanting Luxury ... Everyone is not as lucky as the Modi's so for me Rashi should be a bit more mature and be able handle the ways of the RN.. not take in the fact she is pregnant i do not think being pregnant is a excuse..šŸ˜•

When in Rome. 😊. Rashi will not accept living anywhere lower than MM. Never mind that this is the place she grew up in. She is so materialistic that to live in RN for her is akin to torture. But I do find it odd that those who had lived in palaces previously have not uttered a word. Reaps this is down to family love, respect and concern for Gopi that they are putting up with this. Unlike madam Rashi who was implicit in giving away their location to the ACP.

Great answer DeepzšŸ˜›

My mom used to say that a house is a home, the way we make it..
I agree that it is hard to lose some luxuries and comforts after getting used to it but that should not make one a snob now, should it?🤢

That is what makes Rashi look stupid. That and the fact that she has absolutely no respect for the place that she grew up in.. She, unlike Gopi would have had good memories there. Her life was pretty alright with a mom spoiling her rotten but yet, the luxuries seem to make her crave more than those old memories she had🄱

Xar, Rashi's attitude is beyond comprehensionšŸ˜•

You know, when the Modis were all in RN during Gopi's pregnancy, we had a sample of how life was for the two girls when they were young.

Gopi's had been bleak while from all of Rashi and her enthusiastic replies to Jigar, one would assume that she had a better childhood than most of her peers in the chawl. She had things Gopi would not even have dreamed off..

But yet, Rashi cribs now without enjoying a couple of days in that place that was her childhood..

I am now visiting old haunts and some things I have started to take for granted like internet, power is all scarce but yet, to be frank, it does not seem that bad.. The old charm is still there.. the life that was part of me for 20 or more years😊

I am amazed at how snobbish Rashi has turned out to be.. No wonder she has no actual friends to speak of other than her mother.. This girl turns her nose up to the very people who loved her dearly.. How sad.. The saddest part though is that she will never feel that she is wrong .. The CVs love her so🄱

Harini when and if the power goes out we use that as family time playing old school game boards etc as these days everything is technogy based.. One thing like the internet power anc tv is things that we will miss but I think in this world there are Rashi's in this world I know of some ppl like her that can't adapt. And yes the CVs do love her...

Very true DeepzšŸ˜›

A place, even if it has all the luxuries will be a prison for someone who does not belong.. I think Rashi does not belong anywhere.

Even in MM, half the time or maybe more, Rashi cribs and cries over how she has to do things like take the cup and drop it in the sinkšŸ˜‰ It is not just in RN.. Her tale of woes continues in MM too..

Why is it that Rashi never seems like a Modi.? Everytime she tries to say she is one, she sounds so funny.. Has Rashi truly become a Modi? And is that where the difference lies?

Well harini...very nice topic to discuss...😊...I totally agree with you and others, that rashi is doing a lot of tantrums and cribbing to live there where she lived 20 years...now there are two points harini ..

Compromising with a situation for need
Compromising with a situation forever

So here modis are compromising with a situation where they know they have no other way as they are in danger, they know its temporary...they know its going to be over soon...so they are making all efforts to get adjusted..but can't they adjust this for life? I don't think so harini...it is not that easy as we can say...so what modis are doing that is very natural I think, but they reacted way moderate, matured and handled in a nice way ...😊..this is expected from a mature sensible person,..

Now rashi...she had spend in that situation for a long time of her life...so modi house was like dream come true for her...she just wants material comforts all in her life...so wherever she is doesn't matter, she needs her comfort..😔
Now if we think generally...harini nobody likes to stay in that situation, it is not that we stay in usa so I am saying...people who stay there also doesn't love it..I know home becomes with people...but if I think practically very true that I too cannot live without having a drop of water...it's true...may be I don't need AC or very Luxury comforts of life, but I need some of the basic things..and am not ashamed for asking that...because I feel getting basic needs of life is our rights..and I feel everybody want a better life and that is not a crime..we want better job, better house..more money..aren't we?...when I go back india after so many years if I say I don't feel problem that will be hypocrisy ...I do feel and I think everbody feels but we handle it with a mature way...because we complement that with our loving people , what we miss here...but there is a difference where rashi lives and where we live,..I don't know I need to live in that chawl for some days, I may comprise with all things...but don't think I will be able to live without water..lots to think about it.. This is the one point I agree with rashi..šŸ˜›

So my conclusion is there should be a balance between desire and demands, anyone overboard it will look odd like rashi..

@ basu i too dnt think i won't be able to live without water.. as everyone needs these things to live on..

a roof to live under and water.. and power .. yes i think power is necessary these days..šŸ˜•

I can see where you come from but in times we forget how grateful we really are to get things like water straight away where like people have to wait to wait for days for water.. Really if this is teaching anything then it would be not to take things for granted
