Kokila - Parag - Well, I won't really judge her as according to traditions, husband needs to be the primary bread winner of a family and Parag failed miserably there. Everyone has right to dream but if Parag could not convert his dream into his profession, he shouldn't have taken up additional responsibility. But still, the constant onslaught of taunts and derisive comments show Koki's negativity and judgemental character.
Kokila - Ahem - This is one which is supposedly beautiful and I too like the way they support each other. But I absolutely hate the way Ahem has been brought up to never challenge his Mom's words. I know for sure that however bad my son's choice of life-partner would be (in my opinion) I will never ask him to choose between me and his love (well, it's kind of early for that as he's not even 1 year old 😃).Koki had raised him as an image of herself - prejudiced and judgemental - just to fulfill her own personal ambitions (to get some kind of reflected glory). come on, she made him iron clothes when he bought kangans for Rashi. It's Gopi's love and patience that made Ahem's personality multi-dimensional.
Kokila - Kinjal - This is the biggest failure for Koki. Whatever scandal had happened, it would have blown over. How could Koki push her only daughter into an alliance that was so beneath them (strictly from economy angle). Whatever be Kinjal's mistake how could Koki give her a lifetime punishment.
Kokila - Gopi - This developed similar to Gohem. Gopi's unending patience and love won her MIL's love. But for any lesser mortal, this relationship would have been a disaster.
Actually I have a bigger problem with SNS mentality that marriage is a solution to all problems for any girl.
Anita tries to actually kill someone - I have never seen any person with murder on his / her mind in real life - yet the Modis didn't even throw her out of their house. Instead of handing her over to law, they made her go back to Nilesh.
Kinjal had so many issues to overcome. Instead of her family being stern yet understanding with her, disciplining her and helping her get back on her feet (because even if Kinjal hurt others, it cannot be denied that she too was hurt badly) , they got her married.

Totally agree with you. Very well said.

Kokila is such a failure at being a mother to Kinjal. She educated her and gave her a great start in life, but then made a mess of Kinjal's life when Kinjal used that educated mind to stand up to Kokila. Kokila wants Kinjal to do exactly as Kokila says just like Kokila runs the Modi household and expects everyone to do as she says, with her famous phrase with joint hands 'Maaf keejiya Baa or Mota Bhai or Mota bhabhi'.

The main culprit in this whole mess is Urmila as Urmila is the one who called Elesh's parents to tell them that Kinjal was pregnant (even though she knew that Kinjal was not pregnant) and that broke up Kinjal's marriage to Elesh, otherwise Kinjal would be married to Elesh. Everyone seems to have forgotten that

@Bold - None in Modi house even know about the KK . They do not know how Elesh and his family know about Kinjal's pregnancy or lets say false pregnancy.

So don't blame Koki for that😊 Kinjal started the fake pregnancy issue which BTW is not a small one.. Urmi fanned the flames to suit her needs and right at the time when there was no Umang she made sure that Elesh also would not be there so that she could get all the benefits.
Modis did go to Umang inspite of disagreeing with Kinjal's choice. .I do not consider disapproval of a wrong man in a daughter's life is wrong. It just did not materialize..
Marrying Kinjal to Dhawal may have not been such a wise decision though Dhawal is a sweetheart. But again, UrShi played a role and made Gopi convince all that this was the right way to go.

Everyone to entitled to their own PoVs.. I am not saying Koki is perfect and does not have faults but she is by no means ridiculous as the post states. Rather, people like Urmi who have no rhyme or reason to hate the Modis and those like Kinjal who even though married to a nice guy are adamant to stay in the past deserve to be called ridiculous.

I agree Koki is not ridiculous and also agree that Urmi and Kinjal are far far worse. In fact, they cannot be even compared to Koki.
My problem with Koki is that she continues to rule others' lives. And the serial itself shows her (most of the times) as overwhelmingly positive. However intelligent, smart and caring one is, you cannot decide for others (and that includes your kids). You can obviously show your dissapproval for your kid's choice of life partner. But to actually force them into marrying someone else without giving them time or support to get over their heartbreak / disappointment (using social means as in case of Kinjal and emotional blackmailing as in case of Ahem) is wrong. Just because Gopi and Dhawal are good does not absolve Koki of her mistakes. She almost spoiled Gohem's life and actually spoiled KinWal's life.
I really hope that KinWal's issues are not solved and the marriage ends in divorce - that would be a relevant social message that individuals / family should check for basic compatibility before marriage. And just getting a girl married to someone by force would not settle everything.

@Ruchi - Valid points and I agree that pressurizing a person into doing something especially when it means a lifetime commitment is not good at all..😕 Kokila was wrong in that especially when it comes to Ahem and Gopi. As for Kinjal, I do not know what to comment. The entire Modi Kandaan is at fault there and the root cause is Kinjal's foolishness and Urmi's selfish evilness 🤢
Dhawal though has gone into this marriage knowing about Kinjal. Everyone was at fault.. Circumstances and social customs
