If this was "The Gia Show", I could see your point. But this is Saathiya, it's much more than Gia and people will watch it for reasons other than Gia.

Plus this is show business. People come and go, and even though letting go of actors that play a main lead seems weird, it happens. The motto of this business is "The show must go on". They can't cancel an entire show at the drop of a hat just because Gia left. This show very well may get cancelled soon, but because it's so huge, SP can't let it go w/out taking a chance.

Star Plus took a big chance by ignoring the viewers and handling the whole scenario in an underhanded way. I have seen two other serials where the main lead was changed. The viewers were given plenty of notice. In one, the heroine was burned and a new face returned a few months later. In the other, the heroine went out of town and came later with a new actress. This gave the viewers plenty of time to get used to the idea. Yes, some viewers may not care and stay. Some may come back later. It was still a huge risk. I think SP were arrogant in thinking that the viewers will stick around.
It may not be named as the Giaa Show, but Giaa was 80% of the show as Gopi. She was promoted as the face of Saathiya. It's not fair to other actors, but that's how they chose to do it. The show makers first create characters that the viewers can get emotionally attached to and connect with. The actors breathe life into these characters. If actors weren't good, the show will end in a short time. If they had changed a side character or changed the main lead 6 months into the show, it won' t be too bad. After two years, when poeple start identifying with a character and the actor's face becomes that character, you can't change them overnight and expect the viewers to have the same emotional reaction. If they just made a business decision and want the audience also to be nonchalant and disconnected about it, they should just start showing business shows (I got this from another post😆).
I remember a long time ago, SRK produced his come back movie "Chalte Chalte". The original heroine of the film was Aishwarya Rai. At the time she was going through some problems with Salman Khan. This was affecting the shooting of the movie and SRK replaced Rai with Rani Mukherjee. He had interviews where he explained that he had discussed with Rai the reasons of replacement and she agreed. At the time, neither he nor Rai gave any reasons, but everyone knew. The thing is SRK took time to explain his decision. He was upfront about it and this was a movie part of which had to be reshot to have Rani Mukherjee. Even though the audience wasn't affected, he explained so the audience doesn't turn against him or the movie for letting go of Rai. That's what SP should have done. Be honest. Why take such kind of risk?

As I mentioned to Shaun's reply, I feel more than getting justice done for Gia, if she is back it should be the justice for us viewers.
Not sure whether it will be good or bad for Gia herself if she is back in SNS, because we really don't know what she wants.
But again something will be proven to the channel/PH from her side that standing up for one's rights is not so bad and a lot of people will support you in that cause.
As for others who are continuing to watch the show, they can do it but it will be better if they also support people who is fighting for their rights ie what all I wanted to say. Because I feel that deep down inside they are also not happy with this change and is just taking it in their stride... and not being emotionally affected.
They also dont want so much presure around themselves, ie why they are just asking others also be calm and cool. Anyway people react in different ways for a scenario, but it is always better to give a try to speak up for your rights first, and if it is not working then do whatever you want... Take it in your stride or protest... Immediately accepting wrong doings will never make a change in this world.

Your opinions are valid, and I am not judging them, but I do not understand how bringing her back will be justice for the viewers. In what way will this bring justice to us? Yes, we will get our old gopi back and yes we will be content that we "won" against star plus, but i do not see the point of fighting so passionately for bringing an actor back to a show. If people could use their strengths and unity to fight real world problems such as human trafficking, I think the cause is just. If Gia chose JDJ that was her choice, and us fighting to bring her back will not undo the damage done. If I were Gia, I would never accept the role again because being kicked out like that is a big wound to the pride. Somethings things happen for the best. Besides, would it be fair to the new actress essaying the character of Gopi to suddenly be ousted out because the channel decided to bring the old gopi back- obviously not. One should accept the change and not disrepect the other actors by quitting on the show. Saath Nibhana Saathiya has had its ups and downs and this is just a minor change that will help to strengthen the show. if members on this forum are not going to support the show and only support an actor, then that is not a fight for the show, but a fight for the actor. Gia has brilliantly portrayed Gopi and established her as a household name, but in all honesty she chose her path. She may not have expected what was coming, but that's how life is. And we gotta suck it up. Nothing is fair in the world, that is how life is. I personally am annoyed at all the bashing of the new gopi and i think that is just being immature. She is an actor and needs to grow; she has large shoes to fill so give her some space. Remember Gia was not that great in the beginning either. Besides at this phase in Gopi's life, I believe the new maturity and emotion shown by Devoleena is perfect. 👏

A fan of the show

I also dont know whether Gia will be back to the show..even after all people are doing... it is her decision.. I just said that I respect it whatever it may be . this will never would have become a big issue if Gia left the show by her own.. and if channel/PH has given a notice period to her and time for audience to adjust to a new face... Atleast they could have introduced the new face on a monday giving viewers time to think by giving promos on saturday sunday... but they were afraid of protests and they imposed the decision suddenly on viewers... so the question here is do they show shows to satisfy us or do we watch shows to satisfy them?
Bashing Devoleena I have never done in this thread.. If you have gone through the whole thread you may have seen I have even appreciate her for taking a big risk.
Also I have also mentioned that Nazim who was always outshadowed by Gia seems to be carrying the show alone on his shoulders. It was a big responsibility and he was also put on spot without a days notice.. In his own words he is showing to be quite a professional... whatever his personal relations be...So it is good that people continues watching the show and is supporting people displaying great professionalism.
The only thing I am annoyed is at the channels questioning of viewers intelligence and playing with emotions.
The only way the channel know about this frustration atleast for one week if we dont show the disappointment and let them continue dictate us, tomorrow they will continue their monopoly attitude. We should anot allow anyone to take over a monopoly of market. There are rules against this.
What I just said was speaking up for ones rights is not wrong.. even in Case of Gia or the majority of viewers... and we need to support those people.. if we have a feeling that what they are asking is what they deserves
I am not even against continuing watching the show. I just feel that it is good to support people who are voicing aginst this injustice done to them. I feel general audience including me and you deserves Gia as Gopi and Gia deserves to participate in a dance show even if she is playing an illiterate house wife Gopi Vahu.

Because it's a difficult time, it's a test for them to see how well they can adjust to the change and I think they are doing a good job so far. But let's see what happens

By suffer I meant the time period they will get to show the talent will be very less. And in my opinion they are already suffering. This is case of a normal work environemnt. I work 10 hours. sleep 7 -8 hours. Rest 6 - 7 hours is the time I spent in home. (Oh forgot - travel 2-3 hours also in that 6-7 hours)
So with whom I spent most of my time in my life? With work colleauges. When one of them resign, next 2 days we wont feel like working at all. This is a case when they have given a notice of resignation 2-3 months back. We are already setting our mindsets for that change.
Imagine the condition of Saathiya team.. their colleague left them withou even one day notice (it was channels overnight decision -- they are confirming that in calls)
The saathiya team was a good team.. Gia had good chemistry with everyone.. not only Nazim...Koki, Jigar, Hetal, Rucha, Urmi, mama, Dhaval, Kinjal., Baa.. and how can we forget Jigar.. she got best Bhabhi award also. Once a team is broken, chances are there its performance will affect.
Again no consideration for viewers and even actors' emotional attachments.

I am not generalising here...ie why I said in my other post only half the viewers will leave the show
Some immediately leave... that too for two resons..
1. didnt like the replacement. ---> these are the majority people coming to the forum and talking gainst Devoleena
2. lost trust in the boss ---> like me and Aris, I hate star plus for hurting viewers
Some stay and give a trial --> the half of other half who are doing it (they may leave when thir immeadiate need is done.. that means a happy ending point of the show -- not taking a big risk)
Some will continue because of their long term relationship with the boss --> but inside they will also be hurt ... because they may have lost a little trust in this boss whom they beleived so much :-(
