PS :- I found this article on Giaa in a newspaper Bombay Times (Suplment of TOI)

Dated 8th June 2012.

Giaa Manek's decision to participate in rival channels sho JDJ has her out of SNS.

Giaa, better known as Gopi bahu from the show SNS, has been replaced overnight thanks to her decision to participate in the upcoming dance reality show JDJ on a rival channel.

How the drama unfolded

Giaa, signed up with JDJ sometime ago, but was asked to opt out of it by the production house of her daily. The matter was then taken to the Assc of Motion Pic & TV Programme Producers (AMPTPP), after which it went to the CINE & TV ARTISTEAS ASSOC (CINTAA). Members of CITAA had a couple of meetings with Giaa, and their final decision was that the actress should quit the reality show. Says a source from the assoc "Giaa, tried to convince the assoc to let her do the reality show as well. Bur, the fact is that, she was under a contract with her production house, according to which she couldnt do any other show whilst doing SNS. Also, they were of the opinion that JDJ would have affected her image of a soft-spoken bahu of the show. the channel felt that it wasnt fair.. she had became popular because of their show and now the rivals was using her brand and image."

NEW BAHU STEPS IN

Giaa, didnt expect the channel would take such a hard stand, but it was difficult for her to quit JDJ too. Finally, when she didnt budgre, the channel decided to replace her for "unproffesional conduct and breach of contract" even though Giaa says she was the one who sent her resignation. now, there's a new Gopi bahuon TV - Devoleena Bhattacharjee, last seen in Preeto.

Notice to CINTAA

A few days ago, Giaa sent a legal notice to CINTAA as she was unhappy with their decision to quit JDJ.. This step has annoyed the assoc. Says a source "we look to resolve problems that are brought to us, and our decisions are binding on everyone. There's no legal standing, but its usually accepted by actors, producers and channels. so it was quite surprising to get a legal notice from an actor."

ACTOR AND CONTRACTS

Mostly, daily soap actors participate in reality shows to make a quick buck. however, it all depends on on the contracts they've signed with their production housees. Any breach in an inflexible contract can land them in trouble. A few years ago. Salil Ankola had to leave the Bigg Boss house after Ekta Kapoor's production house pulled him up for doing the reality show despite being under a contract with them.

My issues:-

Colors is also a channel which runs daily soaps, right?? So they too must having the knowledge of the contracts which daily soap actors signs, its implied to all the other channels as well. SO, werent the Colors aware of that Giaa does a daily soap and still they went ahead and approached her for the show???

Giaa says that, she was the one who sent a resignation to the productuion house of SNS (unbelievable, coz, i had read an article few days back she stated that she was happy coz she was doing both the shows and by means wanted to leave SNS) If giaa saying she was the one who resinged herself, then why is SP calling her unprofessional (just becoz she didnt budge??)

A source said that Giaa doing a dance reality show will affect the image of Gopi bahu.. how?? SNS has been running for 2years now and is no new show on SP, all very well aware that Giaa plays Gopi and what her character is like, would it really hammer the image of Gopi???

SP saying that the rival channel using Giaa as a brand and image for their show... well according to me it was beneficial to the SP becoz through Giaa SNS could have been easily promoted to enhance its viewrship...

The entire ficaso (according to me) is a CONSPIRACY done by SP towards Giaa and the her fans and nothing else. Because, no decision to change the lead of the show can be made overnight.

if u read the article unbiasedly u will see it is true gioa is the one wrong, ppl are so in love with her as gopi that they take her as the same!!

if u have signed a contract u ddnt take other shows, ppl can be approached not forced!!so no way is colors at fault!!

as well as image yes it wld have bee na lil diff but tat is secondary as they mentioned it as a second option, more was that in her contract she cant do other shows on other channels, it is with even balajee ppl their ppl cant do other shows.

it is her wrong, she thot she wld be able to bargain coz of her popluarity and ofcourse now she will say that she resgined and hello even if u resgin immediately due ot some other show that comes under unrppfessionalsim!!

channel is not biased, y will they lose the only saving grace of sns?? the ideal bahu? thier cash cow? in the love of gopi we fail to realsie that gia an gopi are nto same, maybe fame went ot her head she thot she cld maek the channel bow down to her demands as she is v popluar but if the channel did then it wldnt be fair to toher three too!!

so the scene is out in the open..

at the end of it .. it was Gia's choice to participate in JDJ.. if she wished to do SNS .. she would have quit it JDJ...

her priority was JDJ..if she wished to continue in SNS she would have quit JDJ .. when she was asked to opt for 1 out of 2. choices .. she chose 1.. there ends the matter...

wish her all the best in JDJ😊 she is happy in what she is doing

this is what Koki said in the start of episode , that for different people the priorities are different...

how can they find a actress in a minute and prepare her as gopi vahu...
Giaa pls open ur mouth and tell to the world what happened with u...
Pls reveal the injustice happened to u...they cant do it
last year ragini kanna of sgp was participated in the show. What happened to sp ppl at that time

First, thanks for sharing this.😉

Second, I think they might have been thinking of replacing her because over night this other girl started shooting scenes...seems very strange.😲 Maybe there were other issues with Giaa & the production house over her 2 yrs with them and this was the last straw for them, so they had this girl waiting in the wings in case something like this happened.

Either way I have a feeling this show will end soon, which is sad for the other actors & also Giaa as other production houses may be a bit hesitant to sign her to another show because of her recent termination for "breach of contract & unprofessional conduct."

I did contract law and those are serious causes for dismissal. If she had a clause that stated she could not participate she should have obeyed it. Like it or not once you sign a contract it is binding, regardless of what we feel about the situation (I wish they had let her participate).

Sadly, no one wins in this situation & who knows how long she will stay in the dance competition. From my point of view it's silly to leave a show where you're the lead and that show has made you a star for a dance show...but it's Giaa's life and her decision.

Will miss her on SNS & after watching today's episode I will not be a frequent viewer of this show anymore.

I feel people are not seeing the difference between Gia and Gopi..

neither star plus nor colors are to be blamed... it is these actors who create the scene and the blame goes to the Channel.. since people love the actor's character and think the channel is a Monster... and sacked their actor

but just like a company would not want to loose out a good employee .. even the channels will never want to loose out on a good actor.. but the actors have other priorities

Thank you so much dhruti, as I said on 06/06/12 that Rashmi Sharma is equally to blame here, because it seemed then and now again that she likes the newness and hates longevity of her shows, because replacing a lead actress is the death of a serial. Obviously us fans are used to Giaa Maanek in the role.

CINTAA seem to be inflexible also and not understand that if the show is finishing in December 2012, this was Giaa Maanek's chance to take part in Jhalak dikhlaja, as she wouldn't be asked again next year when she was not in a leading show. CINTAA appears to have been bribed by the production house, not see this as clearly as us. Yes JDJ are cashing in on Giaa's fame, but Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing with the Stars is that a professional dancer and a big celebrity (Star), that makes it watchable for audiences. Giaa was willing to do both shows, in the past people like Suhana of SGP have managed to do both JDJ and their serial, also Strictly Come Dancing stars the same thing they do both, based on that evidence CINTAA should have seen things in Giaa Maanek's favour, and it's no wonder they are being sued by Giaa Maanek because of that also the way the production house waited for that CINTAA decision and sacked her immediately not giving her time to possibly drop out of Jhalak dikhlaja after the CINTAA decision.

For Giaa she probably got tired of the routine and wanted a little excitement when she signed up for Jhalak dikhlaja and knowing that actresses like Suhana Ragini Khanna and Parul took part in JDJ in previous year, she didn't think it would blow up into such a big deal, as others had done it with no fuss by their production houses.

So Rashmi Sharma it seems wants the TRP of her show to keep going down and finally Star Plus to take it off air for low TRP, she's run out of ideas of what to write after all the couples are together.
