Thanks for this post Yuks. This is true, the new girl has nothing to do with Giaa being axed.
Though she can never take the place of Gopi in my heart(even if she acts better), it is unfair to bash her. I had never done that and I'll never do that and I ask my friends too to not bash her.

I agree bashing the replacement is not right but most people aren't trying to bash the new actress, they are just angry with star plus for replacing Giaa Manek. I mean she use to fit perfectly in the character of Gopi, so why replace her, when she said that she can manage both SNS and Jhalak at the same time then what is Star Plus problem? Why change something when it is perfect from the very begining? No offence to anyone but this show is going to lose it's charm and then the trp's are just gonna drop...then I'l see what Star Plus does.

Well Well, I do think we should not bash Devoleena...She is taking SNS forward! Well, if anything she deserves at least TIME to establish herself and we can surely grant her that!

It's not easy to replace someone who was the soul of the show for more than 2 years...Devoleena has a long way to go!

Also, it's not her fault that CV's thought that Ahem saying ILU to her (though in dreams) and Pregnancy track would give her time to settle, because these are the most awaited tracks, aren't they? So people might actually continue watching it even though Giaa is not here any more...

Again not saying that we must like her or support her or tolerate her... She is NEW, period! She needs time, and let's at least give her a week, OK?

Although it isn't her fault, she put herself into that position when she decided to replace an actress who viewers of the show are partcularly attached to. Her acting of the Gopi character will always be compared to the original actress by long term viewers. So saying that, Devoleena "bashing" is expected and unsurprising.

ya this topic is right...it may look diff for 2 days but i m sure everything will b fine after a week.ppl should give new one some more time 2 settle herself...don't criticize her...just it was 1 day for d new one...she need some more time to get herself involved into 2yrs already played gopi character...& it is difficult for any actress to get into d character which is already played by someone...all ppl should understand it...it's not fair to quit watching saathiya yaar...what will d production house will do if giaa herself quit from d show and opted for dance show...it was giaa mistake...now due 2 her other cast should not get into trouble as they r working hard for saathiya...support saathiya

This was a decision at the executive level obviously and has nothing to do with Devoleena. Bashing her will not bring Giaa back.

Devoleena is just an actress cast for the role and she is now a part of the cast of SNS. Bashing her will not be tolerated

Lets try and be supportive to this new actress instead of making negative comments about her physical appearance or comparing her with Giaa.

I have an issue with this post...anybody who is in the public eye will be scrutinized, be it for their appearance or for their skills. I for one do not find her to be as unique looking as Gia but that is my opinion and I don't personally like to flame actors for that. However, IMO all is fair game. Gia was the central lead in this show and she made the character her own. I feel safe in saying that most people were drwan to the program because of how she portrayed her character.

If there are posts that violate a certain conduct of rules than they should be laid out and deleted. But just saying "Don't bash the new actress" is absurd. The fans are what drives the shows and being in the public it is not only inevitable, it is the nature of being in the business. Actors and actresses have to have thick skin. This particular actress decided to take on a part that is very unique and beloved to the portrayer, she must know at least on some level that she WILL be scrutinized. If she didn't then maybe this profession is not best suited for her.

Also, her acting from her range to her facial expressions just doesn't do it for me, I'm sorry. Gia made the character her own. I do not feel that the powers that be did a very good job in recasting. First of all Gia said that she can do both careers. They got on a power trip. They should have cared about the future of the show and how this would affect viewers. They didn't they have to experience the backlash, that is how public business works. Creators of a show should NEVER be at war witht he fans. It is not good business for them. At the very least ehy should have done, was taken the time to get a fitting recast, (which is hard but still) and this actress just, IMO and most others', does not fit at all.
