Everytime some good thread like this comes up where people say not to bash the new actress, but as soon as one person says she sucks, everyone starts bashing her again!

I case you haven't noticed, But in many topics of the forum, There is bashing of Devoleena. It's not Yuks fault that Giaa left/ was replaced. We don't even have full details about what friggin happened!? and no, You wern't forced to accept the new Gopi. No ones 'forcing' you, It's simply the fact that yes, Giaa has been replaced and there's nothing that can be done about it. It's done. And thats that.

And about the bashing part. Than bashing causes fights and diputues creating an unhealty and negative atmosphere which the Mods clear to provide a positive attitude. Freedom of speech is obviously allowed but at least don't abuse the right of freedom of speech.

Errr...thats what I wrote, Freedom of speech without using racist or insulting language...so I am not abusing my right to my opinion... I am not bashing anyone..no one is saying its Yuks fault Gia left, you would have to be pretty stupid to even think that!!! However, there is no reason a person cannot make a comment making a comparison of the 2 actresses... like you would if you had say Julia Roberts to Anjelina Jolie...that is not bashing! Its when you insult or if you bring in their looks. but if you compare performances then theres nothing bad about it!!!!

I personally think that Star Plus made a big mistake giving Gia Manek the sack for breach of contract... I know many people have stopped watching SNS since Gia left...I watched the episode with the new actress and decided that there was no magic between Gopi and Ahem and sadly, like many others have decided to stop watching because its just not doing it for me. BUT I will read the updates just to know how it all finishes...which I reckon will be sooner rather than later!!!!

Totally agree with your comment.We are not foe to debolina but we feel cheated.Who are going to listen to us?Mods, will u send our feelings to sp and rashmi sharma?Why u talk in favour of only Debolina there is nofault of Nazim, Rupal and other actors also.I hope my comment wont come under bashing.If I dont like her acting I have right to comment. We have already commented other actors adversely before.I am angry with myself to write a post "someone praise writers and cvs"Because next day Jia was replaced.Mods,pleas read my that post and then tell how can we control ourselves.I really feel cheated that is why I am so angry.

The fans have every right to be angry and comment. Just because we don't like an actor in a role does not mean that is "bashing." We don't have to like everyone and speak roses and stars for every actor even when they are subpar, and this new Gopi is subpar. Again, this is not personal, it is the nature of the business. It is silly to plead and scold people that they should not compare two actresses playing in the same role! Uh...excuse me? The nature of the situation is SUCH where comparisons are not only inevitable, but necessary! Criticism is part of show biz. If people want to be in the public eye, taking ciriticism is a large part of that.

In the world of television drama there are two types of occurances. One where there are characters that are played by actors that can be traded or interchangeable. Meaning it does nto matter who plays them as their character does not get embedded into the viewer's psyche. Then two, where an actor embodies a character so well that the viewer cannot separate between the actor and the character, and the portrayal of that character draws you in so much that you start watching the show because of the actor's portrayal. Gia fits into the second category and IS Gopi. There is no other. You can take American television as an example. All My Children used to be a very popular soap opera for several decades. The word Erika Kane became synonomous in pop culture, and the creators of the show no matter what would never dream of replacing Susan Lucci to play her. Susan Lucci IS Erika Kane and no other can nor SHOULD play her. If they had replaced her, they would hear it from the shows decades worth of loyal fans. Also, Lucci DID DO OTHER PROJECTS. That NEVER gave the creators cause to release her, so what in the world is SP's problem? In fact, there have been many instances where a certain character is portrayed by a particular actor or actress of a show and if they were replaced, either they would get accolades, or huge dissapointment but the fans are NEVER told to just take it and not voice their opinions. Acting critiques and comparisons are totally fair game.
