After watching SNS who thinks that arranged marriages could work, if people were like ahem and gopi????

i guess in the olden days most of the girls were like gopi, so regardless of what their husband would act like, they would continue to serve him and eventually the husband would start to like his wife (because of the way she cared for him) and then eventually love her.

this love seems so much nicer and long lasting then that which is evident between 'Ahem and Anitha" or even "Nilesh and Anitha"...especially in the latter..there is no question of trust and it seems mainly based on infactuation.

But then i guess in modern day, arranged weddings won't really work cos the girl would be like ahem as well, so there will be arguments from the first day and then divorce on the secound. Lol. I don't know about you guys but i think it is really sweet how the girl doesn't even contact the boy before marriage but after through serving each other, they gain great affection for each other!

I think one of the best things about vedic culture is that married couples can't get divorced so they have to end up solving their problems regardless of how serious it is!!! Its another reason why we can rest assure that ahem could never divorce gopi for anitha!!! Lol

Hey guys, do you think that they will end SNS as soon as Gopi and ahem get together, and we already know that Urmila and Kinjal have been found, so after finding Rashi could this be the end of the whole thing. Also this seial has been going for 2 years and most end after this time period!!!! What do you think!!!

i truly believe in arranged marriages and infact almost all my cousins have got married like this , and they all are happily living ,so i guess it works n maybe is really the best. the way one person tries to adjust to the other n vice-versa. love after marriage is actually what i believe in.

Yep Yep!!! I think so too...was just thinking what others thought =D Its sooo cute hah...but the one thing different in the olden days was that girls got married younger like mostly after 16 and they were married...this was done so that as soon as they developed the desire to get married they were married..i guess this helped the couple to be chaste to each other...!!!!Also they used astrology to make sure the pair would bond together so as to prevent personality clashes..

Anyway i think it is sweet 😳

Oh and the name is Tilakshini 😃

No one I know ever had an arranged marriage so it's a new concept for me. However, since I got hooked on Indian serials I have sometimes wondered what it would be like to have an arranged marriage...

Ahhh nice topic..

i don't know about love marriages since mine is an arranged marriage... and i can say arrange marriages are fun in a way..

in love marriage..

- you know each other very well.. after getting married there is nothing new to know or adjust or you know the phase of getting to know each other will be missing...

- in arranged marriages,.. u don't know anything about ur partner..
after the wedding u start to know about likes and dislikes..
share your past life with each other.. we discuss our life from kindergarten to the time u get married...
we almost become an open book to each other...we get to know each other..and in this process of sharing the experiences we become friends and we have the care, concern. understanding and trust...with each other...and finally falling in love...

In love marriages the initial steps are missed after wedding since u know everything about each other.. so i don't how their life will be😕

but as for as arranged marriage.. i asked my parents for an arranged marriage.. most of my cousins have married out of love.. but i was all excited and always wanted an arranged marriage.. which is fun😳

and for any marriage--- this is the essence of it

Perfect relationship is created by conscious effort and not discovered all of a sudden. The incompatibilities have to be resolved by a continual mutual adjustment and reconciliation by a willing attitude of 'give and take'.

Marriage is marriage and is not a mere love affair which is but an infatuation. Love affair is a relationship just for the pleasure of the person involved and it has no consideration of the families of the persons. When the pleasure wears out, the affair is gone.

But, marriage is a life commitment. If you make a sacrifice, you are not sacrificing to that person. It is a sacrifice to a permanent relationship.Love bears all, endures all. If the relationship has pains, remember that life is a mixture of joys and sorrows.
