I think Ahem-Gopi-Anita plot is based on Aaina movie..

I will respectfully decline.
Ahem = jackie
Gopi = Juhi
Anita = amrita
so amrita dumped jackie on his wedding day and juhi stepped into her place.
also juhi was secretly in love with jackie until she found out that her older meaner sister was in love with jackie. juhi then stepped back.
then older sister amrita came back and made juhi's life hell because she now wanted jackie back.
In Saathiya case...ahem dumped anita...not the other way round.
gopi didn't step in for anita.
So I will respectfully decline. Saathiya can not be compared to the great aaina move 😊

This was the movie where I fell in love with Juhi Chawla. Watch her eyes in the movie. There are very few actors who talk with their eyes and Juhi does in the movie. The most romantic scene is at the dining table when Jackie grabs her hand under the table. I think that was the first time such a scene was used and since then has been used in all the serials and numerous other movies. Watch the lovely devar bhabhi scenes. My God, has been years since I saw this movie and still remember it.

nihira...i havent watched it...what is the plot?

the plot is amrita singh flees away on her marriage day to jackie shroff, as she gets an opportunity to be a heroine in a movie. when this truth is known to the entire family, they are ashamed to amrita's act and request juhi chawala to marry jackie though she rejects initially but gives into the demand of her family, she had always loved jackie from the beinginng but never told him this. AS time passes by amrita realises her mistake of fleeing away, as she gets used in the film industry. Amrita returns back to jackie believing that he must be waiting for her, on the contrary he has moved on in his life with juhi and this irritates amrita and she starts making a foull game between juhi and jackie. finally. juhi lets amrita take off jackie. but, ultimatley juhi'l love wins.

Varshu the story goes like this...
two sisters, Roma (Amrita Singh) and Reema (Juhi Chawla) with very different personalities. However, they fall for the same man, Ravi (Jackie Shroff). Ravi becomes captivated by Roma. Reema becomes heartbroken at the announcement of Ravi and Roma's wedding. Roma, more interested in a modeling career, ditches Ravi on their wedding day. Unexpectedly, Ravi asks for Reema's hand in marriage. However shocked and hurt, Reema agrees. Reema and Ravi start married life under a dark cloud. Just at their marriage starts to become a beautiful reality, Roma comes back into their lives causing nothing but grief.
