Gopi's wedding was a day away and rituals had already begun in her house…she faced everything stoically. Ajay had inundated her inbox with loved filled messages…amorous declaration of love. Rashi used to giggle whenever her phone beeped and remarked that Ajay's elder brother is very slow compared to him.

Jake hadn't given up hope, he didn't know where Ahem family resided but took the trouble of finding it out and asked the security guard to tell Ahem's cousin Vaibhav to come out. He knew very well that Ahem's grandma would create an uproar if non vegetarians like him entered her house…

Vaibhav was surprised at Jake's question and told him that Aham had returned some days ago and has gone to his nani's house.

"Nani's house? Why is he not picking up my calls then?"

What can I tell you Jake, Bhai had returned in a bad state so Kaki ordered him to go to Nani's house and remain cut off from tensions of business…that meant no cellphone, no internet and no tv. Bhai is living like a hermit there and Kaki claims that it will rejuvenate him.

Jake wasn't convinced and asked "Then what stopped him from responding to calls in U.S.A

Which number did you call him on? He had his official mobile with him. There was a major issue in business and he didn't sleep properly for days. I think he was accessible on his official e-mail id. His personal one has been unmonitored for a long time.

Jake spoke to himself- "Such kind of behavior was not unexpected from Ahem". He used to cut off from the whole world when exams drew near……..he looked like a meditating saint on the day of presentation of project.

Oh, Plz give me his contact number and address..

Jigar gave Nani's landline number and address. "It is in a remote area. Call him back if it is urgent, you'll get lost if go all alone"

Jake called the number given by Vaibhav, an old lady who seemed to be hard of hearing received the call. He failed to communicate with her. She heard Ahem as Kem, phone as loan and so on..he would have laughed it off if the situation was different.

He tried calling several times but faced one problem or the other. Gopi wasn't picking up her phone either as she was involved in some ritual. Jake got frustrated and told Shirin that he would go to Nani's house and drag Ahem back to Rajkot. He asked her to go to Gopi's house and tell her that he would bring Ahem back in time for the wedding.

Shirin visited Gopi's house the next morning…Jitu bhai welcomed her warmly..she could see happiness in Gopi's parent's eyes. Gopi and Rashi were to marry brothers…Shirin mind changed..she felt guilty about even thinking of telling Gopi about Ahem's whereabouts….The family would plunge into grief and Rashi's marriage would also be called off. Gopi would certainly not want that. Moreover, Ahem hadn't been informed, his decision hasn't been heard. Should she really place Gopi in a moral dilemma amidst all the uncertainty…Gopi's parents had welcomed her so warmly, is it right on her part to bring misery to them.

Shirin finally approached Gopi and asked her a hypothetical question- whether she would accept Ahem if he lands at her doorstep right now?

Gopi said No. She couldn't brighten her path by burning her family's happiness. It is too late to go back. Shirin got the answer to the question she had in her mind. She let destiny take its course and decided against telling the exact situation to Jake. She was angry at Ahem for his eccentric behavior. "Let that workaholic marry work, Gopi would never be happy with him. Her in-laws seem to be good people"

Vaibhav's prediction came true, Jake lost his way and took a lot of time to reach Nani's village. Ahem was surprised to see him…and was aghast to hear what he had to say. He cut short his stay and set off with Jake.

He cursed himself for the situation brought about by his thoughtlessness. Jake called Shirin but her phone was not reachable (in reality she had taken the sim from her mobile so that she needn't provide updates to Jake. She could make the excuse of network problem after that).

Shirin did what she thought was in the best interest of Gopi and her family. The wedding got over smoothly. Jake's car broke down on their way back and they reached Rajkot after Gopi's vidaai. Gopi had already forged relationship with someone else. She was someone else's happiness…someone else's desire. Someone else would sweeten her nights.

Gopi felt sad when Ajay touched her at night but she gave herself up. This was her destiny. She had consciously made the decision to marry him. Thinking about Ahem was now meaningless but shunting him out was impossible.

in the first part you mentioned Gopi had seen ahem and memories were flowing back...does that mean they never meet after she gets married?? until that date!
