Initially I thought what in the world is he doing, why can't he see her pain and disappointment?
I have to say I have never been so wrong about him. I watched it again to take another look and realized he knows her better than what I thought.
So much has happened since the accidental kiss. He tried to do his best to make her comfortable and not fear him, but nothing worked.
He was further disappointed by the fact that she called him but didn't even say hello and talked about Raji only.
When he came and heard his mom talk about the kangan an idea took place in his head to find out about how she really feels about him.
When he mentions the two pairs of kangan, he sees the surprise on her face, he is focused only on her reaction as he pauses before saying the second pair is for mom, he notes her disappointment, and also the fact that she immediately puts it aside.

He got the proof he needed about her feelings and also pleasure of her company when his mom told them to go and get ready. He checked to see how she felt about going with him and when he saw that she was not uncomfortable he made his way out the kitchen and she followed him.

In a way I think its good that he is not buying anything for her now, because it would only be seen as obligation. Like with the sari he bought for her.

No I think when he gifts her something he doesn't want there to be any doubts in her mind as to why he is giving her something.
He it lot smarter than I gave him credit for.
Besides at this time there is no reason for him to give her anything. He is not buying the gift for Rashi from him, but he is buying it on Jigar's behalf.

As for the other pair of Kangan for Koki, I think Gopi would not expect anything less from him, she knows his love for Koki.

In all this they are once again talking to each other and are once again more comfortable with each other. The underlying tension is still there but there is no more awkwardness. This is visible as they descend the stairs together, as he observes her expression when his mom compliments her and as they stand close together during the cake cutting.
I think this deserves our Friday night drinks.

He is absorbing all her reactions...all her likes...& all her feelings...He is not rushing her & at the same time he is being a partner to her all the time...

Today he saw a glimpse of disappointment in her face & he knows that she still considers him as hers & with this knowledge...how will he keep her happy till the gift comes which is 2 days latter !!!
