I do not think Ahem's anger is real. He is just using this as a mask to hide what he feels inside. Also he is short tempered. Think of this. His wife was critically ill just a few days ago and he has brought her home assuring the docter that he will take care of her. And then she goes on to say that she will climb the stairs. 😊 Gopi is sometimes too naive for words. His scolding and the other times he scolded her today was all fake. You can hear it in the voice. It does not have the sting.

And what husband that too one who is yet not sure of his feelings be happy when his wife asks him about going to work when all he wants to do is stay with her to take care of her?

The final look Ahem gave Gopi after he took the phone call from office was one of guilt. Of course he put his foot in his mouth by saying he is sorting a problem out at home but I think it is natural under these circumstances. He IS sorting a problem out at home. How to take care of his wife when his SIL is at home😉. But that is what a lot of people would have said. You do not want your colleagues to know your family issues.

Ahem is still to understand that his wife takes everything on face value. He will learn this soon enough when his mom will ask him to take care of work and leave Gopi alone.

I agree with you. That is what I think as well. He just can't express his feelings very well. poor guy
