I know she is frustrating, she doesn't learn from having spent nearly all her life with Rashi that she is evil. But that is her personality she want everyone happy, she will sacrifice her happiness so she makes someone else happy...she believes when people are bad the answer is to be good to them.
copy n paste now.
I used to get major frustrated with her, and to be honest I probably will again also...lol...but remember we recently saw her deny twice she doesn't want to study at the dinner table (when Chirag was arguing with Kokila) and in the hall (when Kokila was arguing with Aham) similarly when an argument was about to start between Kokila and Aham at breakfast she took the blame for Aham not sleeping early when she wasn't at fault he was working...So Gopi is the sacrificial lamb, she will take the blame or be disadvantaged so others are living carefree and easier lives. What has this got to do with this situation, well Urmila and Rashi not wishing Gopi happy birthday would lead to problems in the house, Kokila, Jigar and Hetal will treat Rashi and Urmila differently as they will know that they don't care at all about Gopi, so she stayed mum so that they are not disadvantaged, do they appreciate it no they don't...you are probably thinking that's stupid as she's not appreciated for doing these cover ups, but at the same time she wants to avoid tension and arguments...she wants to make everyone happy.
So even if Gopi caught Rashi doing a kalakari on her she would forgive immediately, she would do nothing to that person. She doesn't care about herself...she would suffer anything but others mustn't suffer.
If I met someone like her in real life, I would probably shake them and force them to pick up the sword and defend themselves, because I think God wants us to find ways to help ourselves.
But others on the forum, a newbie called Julia, mentioned that through Gopi's goodness is the key to Aham's heart (I'm paraphrasing). So her goodness will win over Rashi's evil behaviour.
