@Didi: Thank you! If the blouse were a different colour, it might even have looked elegant. Gopi may look frumpy, but atleast her blouse never matches her sari, making her all one colour from head to toe

Actually, Rashi looked fat or, to put it kindly, plump when she sat on the bed.

I agree with Yuks & Angel that not all women are so insecure to feel jealous of any woman looking good. If Rashi looks good, we'll say she looks good. But if she doesn't then we'll say so.
