Hiya Guys!

As we're all aware Ahem is in a force marriage at the moment.. But do you agree with Kokila's ways? Forcing the couple to like eachother.. when clearly one party totally detests the idea.

Personally, i wouldve liked Ahem to make his own decisions, if he wanted to marry Anita.. he shouldve. He wouldve been alot happier then he is now, he treats Gopi as someone below him, not someone who is equal to him.

I admit Gopi hasnt had the upbrining many have had, but i still think Gopi should move on and find her own destiny, shes pretty determined and she a great cook, she could find work anywhere if she looks, i agree reading and writing is fundamental but if you look at the people who deliver tiffins (lunch boxes) they are not fluent readers but they have the intelligence to deliver the food to the right place.

Ahem and Gopi should go their separate ways, divorce isnt seen as a bad thing anymore right? Gopi deserves alooot more then what she is getting, money isnt everything, respect has a status of its own. Gopi doesnt get that from her husband at all and Ahem doesnt seem like hes going to respect her soon anyway.

Their wedding was not arranged but forced, usually force marriages never work out and two whole families suffer. What for? Society? Pah please.. I dont think this show should demonstrate that small things can melt the others heart - esp not after the verbal abuse Gopi has been through the past year or so.

Ahh thats my bit lol!

It was arranged not forced, currently Aham says he can't bear Gopi and she suffocates him, but he gave in to his mum's demands to marry her choice, that is arranged marriage not forced marriage, forced is when you don't know you are getting married, and someone holds a shot gun to your head that get married otherwise you dead or girls get taken from western countries on pretext of visiting family abroad but a marriage is arranged for them, when they refuse they get slapped by the parents and locked in the room until they agree, that is another forced marriage. Not in Aham's case. Kokila with-held the illiteracy information about Gopi, that's why he can't love Gopi because she is an unpadh...but he can fix that by having her taught and he also teaching her, but he can't accept to do this from scratch, selfish, he would rather carry on treating her like the way he does.

its ahem mistake... he should have asked abt gopi before marriage...he said he is willing to marriage,he trust his mother and he didnt even tried to see her photo and all...after getting married if she is upto his choices and blaming the girl for it is foolishness and cruelty...ahem should remember one thing that it is his mother went and selected not gopi came to marry him...
we cant say it is a forced marriage neither of them objected it...but kinjal is a forced wedding and she really deserve it

Yeah it wasn't a shotgun wedding. It was arranged.

A lot of people say that Gopi , should change,yeah I think she should toughen herself up, not trust people so easily, ie rashi.

But I think that both parties should change. If he is bothered about education, why doesn't he get Gopi educated. Alot of people say Koki, should get Gopi educated, but at the end of the day it is Ahem who has the problem, with her not being educated not Koki or the rest of the Modi family.

It's just his ego getting in the way. He could have stood up to his mum, but he chose not to.

So Ahem ,can't worm his way out of it, because he should have said something before.

Where as Gopi, she is not excatly ,street wise is she? She thought by getting married, she would be loved and taken care of by a loving Husband, which turned out not to be true.

Yeah she has found a loving MIL later on as the series progressed,but not a loving husband.

I think that all Gopi , craves for is a loving husband, nothing else. And the only way, Ahem will realise , how much Gopi means to him. Is if she disappears from his life. At the moment, he only puts up with Gopi because of his Mum. Until Gopi, leaves Ahem life, then he will realise.

ya this is not forced but arrange marriage . he only had problem with is illiteracy bcoz he is too egoistic to accept his own mistake bcoz it's his mistake that he marry gopi and destroyed her life bcoz gopi never knw that he love some one else and married him bcoz she thought he likes her but he knws that he love someelse and can't love his wife so easily so y he married her to destroy his life. he he refuses this marriage toh may be she got someone who loves her dearly. y blame others for when u willingly maaried.

i would say forced, he didn't want to marry her, why did koki even get him as she knew he was in love

Ahem doesnt deserve Gopi!!! Wat does education means to him!!! he is ignoring her coz of the society, status and blah blah. I think Gopi shd leave him and go away some where to start a new life!!! If at all Ahem accepts Gopi, he shd accept her as it is!!! There is no point in getting educated, coz am sure that she will be a dumbo even after that!!!

Love is accepting the other in your life with all the roses & thorns. It's a packaged deal. If u force someone to change, u are a control freak!
