Part 15
It is the night of Kinjle's engagement to Elesh. Everything is going well. Kinjle, shruti, and Gopi decide to get ready in Gopi's room. They told Ahem to leave and not to comeback until they were ready. Ahem pretended to be not to be happy with this said I want to help my wife get ready, Kinjle teasingly said, then I will never get engaged, because you two will never make it to the engagement, Gopi hearing this get shy and turns pink, Ahem just laughed at what his sister, and left the room. After Ahem left both shruti and Kinjle teased Gopi a lot, which embarrassed her more, finally I will get you both back when its your turn, that shut both Gopi and Shruti up. Then they finally started to get ready.
Ahem has big smile on his face he was thinking about the gift he had for Gopi, he couldn't wait to give it to her. He goes in Rahul's room, Jigar is already there, talking to the detective on the phone. After he hangs up the phone he tells Rahul and Ahem that both Umang and Anita have been arrested, Police have all the evidence on them, and they wont be getting out of Jail anytime soon. The Detective told Jigar the Police will wait until after the engagement to arrest Rash and Urmi, since they also have some damming evidence against them. They decided to keep this between them and not to tell the family, it was a happy day for the family and they didn't want anything to interfere with the engagement.
After awhile Shruti and Kinjle calls Ahem and tells his they were ready for him to come up. As Ahem walks into the room he stops, frozen, in place seeing Gopi. She looked so beautiful in the Green sari that he had asked his sister to buy for hair. She wearing her hair different also, instead of being tied back they over open and straight, she had her hair parted to one side, with only minimum make up. Her eyes were the most beautiful thing on her face. He could not move, he was so mezmarized by her. Finally Shruti nudged him in the room and she and Kinjle left closing the door behind her.
He goes to Gopi and stops in front of her they both keeping looking in at each other, Gopi also could not take her eyes of Ahem, he was so handsome in his gold sherwani, that was her favorite color on him. Finally Ahem turn Gopi around and sits her in front of the mirror, and says to her after looking at you I really don't want to leave room, Gopi just smiles at him and lowers her eyes. He turns and brings something out of his cubbard, he puts the box on the table and opens it. He says to her I have something for you to wear with your sari. He shows her the beautiful emeralds (to match her sari) and diamond necklace he had bought for her. He puts the necklace on and gives her a soft kiss on the shoulder and helps her put the earrings on her. He then puts her mangalsutra on and turn her and puts sindoor in her hair. He stands her up and says now you are ready. He goes bend down to kiss her on the lips but stops and kisses her cheek. He then says to her I don't want mess up your make up right now, but I want a proper thank you later.
He then takes her hand and walks out the room, Gopi tries to pull her hand when they start to go down, but he stops her and says please don't be embarrassed, I want everyone to know that I am proud to have you as my life, I don't want to be apart from you for even one minute. Gopi lets him take her down the stairs. Everyone was so happy to see Ahem show his love for Gopi openly.
Rashi and Urmi looking at them get shocked. They looked like their eyes were going to pop out of their head, their mouth was hanging open. Rashi says mom look at that, when did this happen. Urmi says why are you worried when Umang comes in her claiming Kinjle is pregnant with his child all this happiness will turn into tears. You had great idea about the fake pregnancy. Jigar is standing behind them listening to this and thinking. We'll see who's crying tonight you or us.
