In the top menu buttons, click on insert image:

Copy the link, starting with [IMG] - sellect from http:// to the end file extension. Leave [IMG] out. and paste it in the image dialog box, do not make two http - so remove the one existing and copy the whole url, and save.

In tinypic.com you can post one picture, but then in photobucket.com you can sign up and make your own albums. tinypic.com is a part of photobucket.com. Go to the website and upload the pictures you want to post in India Forums.

tinypic is no more working..as all pics uploaded on tinypics automatically get deleted.....

Note there are two types of editors. One that appears first is standard, but there is a button at the end of the row, and if you click it, you get the advanced editor, and on that you get the buttons to insert links.

Please follow the steps I have given in the above post. I too am a beginner with this website, and I found when I wanted to go back, it redirected me to http://www.photobucket.com where I created the ID, user name, and registered, with the Capcha letters.

Only remember that size is important. If your monitor size is 800 x 600, and the window of the blog page is smaller, the picture should be proportionate in pixels. 160x120 pixels will do. Try and edit, if it does not work well. I noticed that large pictures do not get uploaded fast.

If you point your mouse tip, on the buttons in the menu bar of your editor, you can find text titles, and will find Insert Hyperlink, Insert Image and Insert Emoticon. For links to URL, - websites, choose hyperlink, also you can redirect the reader to another post of yours on the same website. Right click on the link in your "My Posts" and choose "copy link location" and paste it on notepad, for further use. In the same way, in photobucket.com after you have saved your picture, you can edit it, re-size it etc. You can also get tags, or html address: The one you can use is starting with - http://......... Click on the caption above, it automatically copies the link. Then paste in on your Notepad. You could also paste it directly in Insert Image box, once you get familiar with it. You can see the address: it will show, where in photobucket the picture is filed, and this address you paste in the Insert Image dialog box. Try it again and again till you succeed. Remember, you have to upload your picture from your computer. If it is not there download it from a website, and save it on your computer. You can re-size it in Adobe Photoshop. Gradually you will understand it.

Basically, what you see as you type is not the whole truth. There is behind an HTML code generated. To know more about these codes, visit about.com and look for lessons on HTML. In the dialog box of Insert hyperlink, image etc, the code is generated automatically. Just as you see, what happens when you click on "Quote".

Use the advanced Editor. There are two rows of buttons. In case you have changed your screen colors, revert to system colors. In the upper row you will find 5 blue text boxes. 1= spell check. 2- a- Cut; 2- b-Copy. 2-c = Paste. 2-d paste from Word. 3- undo - redo 4-a Insert hyper link. 4-b. Type the text. Place the mouse, where you want the picture to be inserted.
Paste the picture address, in the box showing http:// - cancel the existing text and paste the whole address which has http://

If you want the text to be shown on the right hand of the picture, choose left in the box which shows "Default". Try different ways, and check how it looks, by clicking on preview button. Close window, and finally "Post Reply" If you have not undertoo, send a message again. Try however, for sometime. By right clicking on your picture, I copied the image location. This is what I got.

This you can do with all pictures you see on the website, and then paste them on your post, but this leads to plagiarism. You should download pictures, and modify them in Adobe photoshop, and give the picture your own interpretation, by changing color balance, brightness, image resize, etc, as well as cropping. Then you can post it as your own contribution. I do not know if any one will object to it.
